Jed Allen was just amazing in this, and his interaction with Steve still makes me cry. This and the peppermint candy moment stole the show for me.

Here is when Sam really got deep in Jason's heart. When she decided to name the baby Lila. Also, the fact that he opened up and shared the stories he had with his grandmother it was very telling because Jason usually didn't do that with anyone. Especially when he shared with Sam his memory about the peppermint candy and his grandmother. More so, when he shared with her the story about his grandmother missing her brother and when he told Sam what his grandmother had said to him that because of love the heart has a long memory. Those words left a mark in both of them. From here on their feelings for one another began to change into something much deeper, a lot stronger and lasting. This was a real intimate moment between them because usually Jason in his past relationships did the listening but not the talking. However, with Sam, Jason found someone he could talk to because he found himself trusting her and confiding in her. He found in Sam a kindred spirit. Someone he could actually related to without any judgements of any kind. Jason felt accepted and understood by Sam. That was a total new feeling to him. So, they started to trust one another implicitly and wholeheartedly. Blessed be!

When she showed Jason what she was hiding which turned out to be her brother, that's what connected them also because they opened up to each other!

Sonny was so selfish during this storyline!

Seriously Sonny couldn't wait a while to talk to Jason about all of this until after he had time to grieve Lila's death. It's not all about him

One of the few times, once Jason Morgan became Jason Morgan, that Edward had good words and actions toward Jason. Normally be loved Jason underneath....but said things that hurt and stung...like his often reference to Jason being a criminal, being deficient because of the brain injury, his insistence that Jason could never be a good father....etc. Edward's opinions, attempts to manipulate were pretty constant.
