Great video, thanks so much for the effort and a ton of useful info you so gladly shared! Just a few questions to make things clear...SO, you are connecting the microphone cables to the inputs of your analogue mixer, using the mixers direct outputs for each channel with the Trs/DB25 connectors to send that audio to your SSL Interface/converter, and than connect the SSL to the MADI card in the PCI port on the motherboard via MADI cables? Again thanks for the great video, Cheers

Good stuff.. this actually my setup minus the Big Ben. I definitely need to get one soon, I'm clocking the SSL Alphalinks to a RME Madi PCIe Card at the moment. For my console, I'm using a Soundcraft Series Five and was wondering how your able to do everything with just those two converters. are you not using the send/returns to the daw and back to the console? if not, what is your workflow - Do you get everything to a certain point digitally with plugins and THEN do the rest on the console? just curious over here :)

I'm confused about something, how can you connect 2 madi with one madi 64? I thought you need madi 128 that has 2 fiber optic connectors?
@TrueSoundTV5 жыл бұрын
Fortuno Music it’s considered a “cascade connection” and you can actually hook up 4 of these smaller mx units to a single Madi 64 card!
@TrueSoundTV5 жыл бұрын
Fortuno Music the connection is output from the Madi card to the input of a mx unit 1, then the output of mx unit 1 to the input of mx unit 2, then output of mx unit 2 to the input of the Madi card

@@TrueSoundTV but should you set id 1 and id2 on the cascaded units to make it work?
