ive literally seen 4 other demos of this plugin. and im in no way shitting on the other demos but dang bro, you have made the tones on this plug in sound better than ive heard it demonstrated so far, im not just talking about your epic playing skills just over all sounds in general. if i would of heard your demo first i would of thought the other guitarist had got a bad plugin or something....love it man its perfect for low gain and clean playing

So let me get this straight, I could get the Soldano plug-in and the Cory Wong plug-in for less than a mid priced overdrive pedal and I’d basically have everything I’ve ever wanted. I’m in 👍

I’m another person here to say “that guitar sounds phenomenal” Of course, the person playing it is 90% of the sound, but still. It’s incredible. Every PUP position sounds killer. I have too many guitars as is, but now I want one of these haha. Plugin is fabulous too. Glad Neural is branching out. I use their other other plugins for “non metal” because they just sound and feel great
@TimMallick4 жыл бұрын
by far the best, in depth review, of this plug in. I just bought it because unless I used my actual amps i could never ever get that slight, chimey, break up that I really wanted. Until now, and in this plug in it IS the absolute best sounding for that type of stuff. I write mainly in the americana mode aka mellencamp to sort of an AC/DC sound and this plugin FINALLY gets me there in the box thanks!

I imported your Tom Quale Axe FX-III preset into the FM3. That was a fairly painless procedure and it sounds great. I received a CPU warning, so I removed the Looper and that reduced the CPU load considerably. The only other thing I think that I needed to do was change the amp level setting. It’s a great preset, so thank you. Also, I appreciate Fractal making the compatibility between the two units not only possible but relatively easy. BTW, I own several of the NeuralDSP amp models as well. They put out great stuff too.

Oh Tom, what a fabulous demo! While you could play through an old shoe and sound celestial, this has to be the holy grail of clean+old school breakup. The third amp head with pedals, that shimmer effect, just stunning! Your gift goes beyond your inspiring playing, your enthusiasm for this product just shines through. This just eclipses the old phrase "sounds like a real amp", and while the tones are staggering, it's the dynamics that take your breath away! So well done, thank you...

100% agree. I've demoed half dozen plug-ins so far including 3 Neural and this one is my #1...by far. It has some unique effects that the others don't have. It takes a little time to learn how to dial in all the controls and get a hang of the lay-out but once you get it, it sounds great. Plini is my #2 favorite. Funny- I downloaded this PI by accident. Tried downloading Molly and but selected the wrong one. 3 hours later, I haven't even opened Molly...having too much fun with this one.

This sounds exceptional. I'm actually surprised that a Corey Wong amp sim would have any dirty sounds at all, but maybe I'm not familiar enough with his playing. I also have to say that I have the Nolly plugin from Neural and the clean sounds there are the best I've heard in a plugin. This one sounds like it might even be better.
@mrnelsonius56314 жыл бұрын
Cory is known for his clean rhythm playing, but even in Vulfpeck he’ll kick on a tube screamer for loud nasty solos from time to time. He also owns a rare Dumble amp that I think one of the the amps here is modeled after..

Hey Tom, sounds SO good. Wondering what your setup is re: going direct into an interface, or running a DI or preamp between the guitar and the interface? I'm running a Strat straight into an interface and for some reason a lot of the tones are clipping, and if I turn the volume down heaps then all the tones become indistinguishable 😅 Any help appreciated!!

What’s the best way to use this plugin for a live setting? Is it still best to mic an amp or you can go directly into the mixer?

Well the input has to be stereo as well and I would say that you play with the guitar in the left/mono input ? Just a guess

What was the thinking having the cable stick out the end like that? to loop over a guitar strap? Otherwise I can't help but feel like that cable is gonna wear down from all that bend it has

Not sure the 2 are THAT different. Neural sure knows how to create the hype by having all major youtubers reviewing their plug-ins, but you're probably already set if you have Plini or Nolly...

well the key feature in Wong's is the straight DI amp box, really used when recording funk guitars. Plus of course the wah, comp e and env filter pedals.

Cory said the delay was based off of the blue sky by strymon. Not sure about the reverb. Sounds like he took inspiration from a few pedals and combined the ideas.

Tried this one and it uses a giant ammount PC resources, almost unusable for me, and mi PC is Core I7 3770K, 16GB Ram and SSD hard drive. I love the plugin but it's a shame that you have to have a monster PC to run these without getting worried of your workflow being crushed because of the resources it needs.
@maxtiaxd4 жыл бұрын
Dude i have a worst pc than you and this runs fine, maybe you are doing something wrong.
@sergio_grez4 жыл бұрын
@@maxtiaxd nothing wrong mate. Maybe it runs fine with the standalone or a couple of instances inside the daw, but when I start using at least 3 or more instances inside the daw as VST it inmediately begins to dry my cpu. This doesn't happen with other vsts like Amphub from STL or the ones from ML Soundlab. Cheers.
@maxtiaxd4 жыл бұрын

@kalebmyers91464 жыл бұрын
These are literally the best guitar vst and standalone plugins ever so no I don’t believe they charge too much money. Look at the cost of a hotone ampero or helix and the difference in quality of interface. For its versatility, It’s quite fair pricing. You can take your laptop straight to the stage with no set backs and less backache.
