It was confirmed that, the version of Superman from Crisis is the same Superman that Brandon portrayed in Superman Returns (which in turn was a sequel to Christopher Reeve's Superman films). Brandon's Superman in Crisis also mentions "his son Jason" (who was seen in Superman Returns) Thus, Christopher Reeve's Superman became the "Kingdom Come" version following a gas attack against the Daily Planet, which killed his coworkers, friends and love of his life: Lois.

From what I can see from Tom Welling’s Clark, I think him losing his powers have to do with the Council of Luthors trying to eliminate all Supermen out of existence. Possible, might not happen but that’s my take on the whole storyline. The comic book tie in is quite complicated if u try to piece storyline by storyline together, but my take on the story is that the Earth-38 Superman from the past will fight the Council of Luthors alongside the other council of Supermen shown until all the Supermen shown and all the Luthors would be killed except for Earth-38 Lex, Clark and Tom Welling’s Clark. Tom Welling’s Superman (possibly the Council of Supermen retrieved Earth-167 Superman from the past) then was forced to lose his powers all so he would not be killed by Lex Luthor in the future (as depicted in Batwoman 1X09).

It makes sense that Tom Welling's Superman would give up his powers .. He didn't want to be shown wearing the cape as a Superman. But as we can all see, it is totally awesome that Brandon Routh had fun BEING Superman, and maybe one day Tom Welling will change his mind about being shown wearing the costume.

There is a reason why Kevin Conroy didn’t work. And it’s because the scene was originally written for Michael Keaton. He was originally on board to play Batman again, but they couldn’t work with his schedule so they gave it to Kevin instead. As much I love Conroy as The Dark Knight, the scene would’ve been better with Keaton. Hell, I think Conroy would’ve worked better as a replacement by making him old man Bruce Wayne training Terry McGinnis, The Bat of The Future, who could’ve been played by David Mazouz, or even someone like Jensen Ackles. Kate could still be the paragon of courage, and instead of Ryan Choi, Terry could be something like the paragon of virtue.

Tom has not done well career-wise after playing Superman in his famous series. He has not exactly hit it big on either the big or small screen since Season 10 of Smallville. Still, he looks pretty healthy and handsome here. Also, playing the lead character in a 10-year long series is a pretty high accomplishment. I suspect that somewhere down the line he will find another good role that will let him use his talents. He was very likable in a wholesome and believable way as Superman.

In my opinion, Earth Prime is the central Earth where the central DC's superheroes are known to exist. The existence of the other Earths make more sense. For example, Wonder Woman is not going to exist on some Earths while existing on other Earths. Wonder Woman's presence on the Earth where Supergirl is on is a mystery. Supergirl's Wonder Woman may have gone into semi-retirement. Supergirl's cousin Superman will hired Wonder Woman to help in Supergirl's training. All Supergirl has to mention about how clever Wonder Woman was when she was training her some Amazon marital arts. Wonder Woman does exist in the Arrowverse's Earth Prime.
