I heard that Henneberryy was actively trying to claim Indigenous status in prison. Now, while it isn't uncommon for somebody to hide their ancestry in Canada (especially given what is going on with the viewpoints on Indigenous peoples), I don't believe that this woman has any Indigenous heritage at all. Apparently, if you are of First Nations status in prison, you have a few resources available to you. Things that are not normally available to other prisoners who don't share your ancestry. Healing lodges, for example? Support networks... Everything. I am of Mi'kmaq Métis heritage. I know how difficult it is to both accept and acknowledge your heritage, especially when you see that you're being treated differently because you're who you are. However, Victoria Henneberry is trying to get out of the consequences to her actions by claiming heritage in an attempt to get a lesser sentence and to even get out of prison.

I've read of the cruelty towards indigenous people in Canada, but nothing prepared me for this. Why would anybody hate them? What have they done to deserve this? Indigenous groups were brushed aside in the quest, by incomers, to claim the land. We see this pattern in colonised countries, such as Australia, New Zealand, India, South Africa, Ireland, America and many more. The sheer brutality towards the native peoples is a massive stain on the colonial masters. All school children should be taught the true history of colonialism. Only by exposing the truth, will justice be served and indigenous people's voices be heard. Thankyou for this video.

So very sad...that horrible couple killed Loretta and her unborn child and because she couldn't cope without her sister DM took her life 😥 3 death's they have on their hand's and for him to ONLY get 20 year's and she got 10 is just wrong...the judge and the court's have failed Loretta and her family...thankyou for sharing xo 😥💜 oh and there is a KZbin channel called "Taken" I think and it deals with indigenous women's murders in Canada and it's just a tragedy at how many of these murders are unsolved 😥😥😥

This is so sad. She DESERVED the opportunities that she fought so hard for. She was clearly MEANT to be a success and an inspiration. Though she will undoubtedly still inspire, I have a very strong feeling that the ripple effect of her murder will reach much further than anybody will ever realize. Who knows what will become of the people she might have helped... RIP Loretta and baby

It literally makes my blood boil when I see a story like this of an amazing young woman with so much to offer 🫴 the world 🌎. She wanted to bring awareness to those of us who are not educated on what has and is still happening to indigenous women. She wanted to make a difference, and she was so close to FINALLY getting the chance to begin sharing her story and others to help with making a change for all the indigenous women who are murdered, trafficked, kidnapped, and sexually assaulted. Also, to know she was creating life as well, growing this little human who she tried desperately to protect as her life was so tragically ended. I'm so upset about this story I couldn't help but want to offer my condolences to her family and friends and to let them know that she didn't die in vain. There's been so much change happening because of Loretta's story, which shows that even in death this amazing young woman is a part of the change she so desperately wanted to make. No one's life should be taken for any reason, but the fact that these sick, twisted, disgusting, and evil people took her life over $600 makes me want to see them rot in hell, and if I could, I would happily be a part of whatever it is that sends them there.... They both should be given at minimum life without parole, that girl was fully capable of helping Loretta. She had the power to stop that sick POS, she was just as a part of the plan to end Loretta's life as he was and she should suffer the same fate. I typically don't believe in an eye for an eye, but in times like this my beliefs are put to the test. It's hard to not want to be a part of something to take those two down, but God doesn't like ugly, and he says we should NEVER carry hate in our hearts. I guess what I'm trying to say is, it's been a very long time since I've seen a story that touched my heart ❤️ so deeply. Loretta, babygirl, I know you're looking down on your family and helping them stay strong through their pain, and I think you were a part of something you were so passionate about, but it sucks that it had to be due to the loss of your and your precious babies lives. To her fiance, I pray you're able to heal from your loss and I will continue to pray for you and her family. Stay strong 💪 she's ALWAYS with you ! ❤️

Young women who rent property should never pursue payment alone, they should always be accompanied by a close friend, preferably male just to be on the safe side. What this beautiful girl endured is beyond tragic. I despair for her parents. This world is way too wicked. I feel a lump in my throat as I write this. For a young person to be destroyed for $600 is beyond any comprehension of mine. Dear God what a world.

I thought women were strong and independent? They don’t need a man’s help and protection correct?? Why would you insinuate that a male friend provide protection for any modern woman nowadays? Those days are long gone and feminists killed it.

Thank you so much for including several minutes of your video to expose the massive problem in Canada concerning missing/murdered Indigenous women, especially since of course that was what Loretta was so passionate about. It's a huge problem here, and sometimes it just feels like it will never get better. One of the worst places in Canada for violence against Indigenous women is in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The police there are really corrupt, it's horrific out there. Plus, Indigenous women are STILL being forcibly sterilized in Canada. A woman in Saskatchewan was told by the hospital staff after giving birth that they would not give her baby to her unless she 'consented' to sterilization. Things are out of control.

It will never get better because they won't address the problem. Denying the truth because it contradicts the vile & deceitful accusations they've been using to vilify an entire race of people while posing as the downtrodden victims of continual persecution for years & years, not only allows the violence to continue but also excuses those doing it. They've turned their people into a race of pitiful victims that blame every failure in life on the customary scapegoat from the house they live in to the reason their men abuse their women. Btw, until there's indisputable evidence to prove those women were forced against their will to sign the proper paperwork for sterilization, I will assume their motivation is the multi million dollar law suit.
