Ben Hodges is a man of integrity and honesty. I have no confidence in Europe and the Uk government in leadership in the Ukraine. Toothless in the extreme, when will we learn. All government across the world need to start telling the electorate that we are at risk and need to invest in defence and Ukraine 🇺🇦🇬🇧 Get the job done

It was common sense that Trump was trying to make it clear that countries must pay the minimum amount required to be a part of NATO.

Another #45 term means that the CCP can do whatever they want as NATO will be busy Supporting Ukraine without the USA. . The only NATO member to invoke Article 5 was the USA (9/11) when everyone responded. So clearly NATO membership is the USA national interest. Congress passed a law to prevent an Executive Order to exit NATO. . NATO says the 2014 spending agreement is on track, so his alleged delinquency by Europe is just to trigger his supporters. Lies.

You do realize, I hope, that the 2% thing is not a "requirement to be part of NATO", and neither is the Alliance the peronal club of the USA, so the American President does not get to decide membership.....

Ben Hodges is great. Good to hear more from him. (Edit: Can't say I'm particularly pleased by Lyall Grant's brexit comments, although I suppose he did work for the Tories so that's to be expected.)

I'm not convinced Brexit gave Britain more opportunities for independent action in terms of defense. More UK-centric contracts?

It does make me sad to hear a retired officer having to remind listeners that the American armed forces exist to defend the nation and the Constitution, not the presidency or a political party. A President exacting revenge on the top military officer in the government would be unconscionable.

I am getting somewhat tired of the constant, "oh, don't listen to the silly words Trump says all the time" defence coming out of the Republican camp.

What did you mean by “American sneezes and the world catches a cold”! It was a democratic vote by the majority of the people, so live with it.

The "sweep to victory", "triumph" presentation of what just happened seems at odds with 2016's "51% is not really winning"

trump will call it a mandate and he will have the power. By the time the fools who voted him in realize what they have done it will take a civil war to restore Democracy.

General Hodges what happens if trump does abolish the Constitution? trump tried on Jan 6 2021 and called for it to be abolished in Dec 2022 and I believe his threats.

America has no obligation to give UK or any nation a free ride economically. I have confidence The President will serve wisely on the world stage. I see treachery here in UK of a bigger concern, the inheritance tax on farmers ... Disgusting land grab ... Loyalty to Westminster? ... Pffff!

I can see you are a totalitarian or a fool. trump swerves only trump and perhaps Putin. trump is one of the greatest con men n history a rival to Hitler and he will destroy America. NATO will be forced to deal with Putin because trump is a fascist and adores Putin.
