I have to disagree with you on this. I think they need another debate, but ONLY with respect to what their individual policies are going to be as this seems to be the biggest deciding factor right now. This *MUST* be explained to the candidates before the debate and their signature set forth on the "contract." This will prevent deniability. Questions need to be generic and in no way, shape, or form related to anything that Trump or Biden did prior to this debate. (Examples: What are your plans to lower the deficit? How will you generate a willingness from both parties to be more bipartisan? What steps will you take to secure the end of the war in Gaza? --- There will be no need for fact checking if each candidate outlines to the viewing public why there plan is better. There will be no discussion of Trump's prior or Biden's current administrations since they are irrelevant to what the current issues today. --- The questions should be reviewed prior to the interview and those which are not deemed prejudicial will be allowed. There should be 3 moderators. Two are asking the questions and one moderator to keep things on track. The candidates will not be allowed to divert from the topic, and if they do the microphone will be immediately muted. They will be told to get back on the topic. If they don't, the microphone stays muted. --- How's that for a plan?

I am an Indian. I saw Trump vs Biden. And everyone knew how it went. Then I thought democrats have backed Harris and there were so many praises for her that she is a formal prosecutor, VP etc etc. Then I saw the live debate Harris vs Trump. And it was a below par debate. Trust me I have seen much better school captain debates in our school. She was totally and openly ignoring the questions. And he was frustrated after a while. The democrats are considering this as a win because she was better than Joe Biden. But if you see 2016, Clinton's debate, Harris was nowhere near her. Harris seemed confused l, underconfident and ignorant throughout the debate. Doesn't matter how better she was than Biden, she doesn't have answers on key issues.

My impressions of the debate as an outsider (from Canada ): Trump won the debate. He clearly enunciated the state of the US economy under Biden, the broken southern border, Ukraine Russia and Israel- Palestinian conflicts. He also spoke of ways he would fix them. In contrast Kamala was 80% of the time admonishing her opponent, rarely answering questions asked of her. She did not seem to have any policy except for abortion.
