Was it an attempted kidnapping that didn't work because he's so overly-observed nowadays that he can't get away with his crimes? Even as a 'joke', it falls flat. Unless I'm mistaken, the 'mystery document' was a disclaimer clause in some of the paperwork. He's been desperate to cling to it. The judge already has seen it and ruled against it. The disclaimer says that others might find different conclusions than what is reported. It sounds like the sketchiest waiver in the history of waivers. For a comparison: Like going to skydiving and they nake you sign a form that says the company is not responsible for your death no matter what events occur on the airplane. And then they try to use that to defend themselves when they intentionally removed the parachute from your bag.

His lawyers are defending his due process rights in those court challenges, but Article 14, Sec. 3 does not require prior conviction of a crime as they allege. @@donnavorce8856I agree that enforcement seems unclear, but if we look at precedent set after the Civil War, President Lincoln pardoned all of the soldiers who fought for the Confederacy. So none of them would have been prosecuted for insurrection to prevent their names from being put on the ballots. It’s the exact same person/committee/whatever in each individual state who approves any name to be put on the ballot. Ironically, in 2020, these same people who are now arguing that the Secretaries of State/etc have no power to keep trump’s name off, were at that time arguing that the Secretaries of State could completely ignore the voters’ decisions & change or withhold their state’s election results. Of course, hypocrisy means nothing to them, it’s just something to think about.

Any person can bring up a case to try to get him off the ballot. That’s exactly what’s happening in Colorado. I recommend more people in more states bring up cases. If nothing else, mail your Secretary of State and make it clear you don’t want him on the ballot, for the security of our nation. It’s probably going to end up at the Supreme Court, but the more states and people that push the argument, the better.

@@KatySueWho Not defending Trump but they are correct, sort of. We have no constitutional right to vote for president. The constitution says that the State Legislatures appoint the Electors to the Electoral College from their state. They do not have to hold a general election in order to decide which candidate they will tell the Electors to vote for. That is the main reason that the Electoral College was created because the founding fathers didn't want the presidential election to be a popularity contest. And even then there is no federal law that compels the Electors from each state to actually cast a ballot for the person they are told to, there are laws in some states that do that however but not all. I'm not sure if each state has their own laws that mandate the State Legislatures allow their citizens to vote for president or not or what they say about the Electors from their states but there is not Constitutional Right for the people to vote for president.

Uhm courts don’t work that way. You can’t just whip something iut and say it’s evidence. It has to be submitted and verified and processed. It has to be revived by the judge and defense and prosecutors to be submitted as official evidence. All I know about law is from TV but I freaking know that. Wtf…
