Because we deeply desire justice. I was raised to love my country and the values it aspired to. The law alone can't make a country great. The citizens who see the value in the law, who see that as a community we can make a country great by following those laws, this is what makes a country great. There are many hotheads in the US. We would do better if we were more chill like our northern neighbors. But if we are going to be emotional, let's please try to look at what is proven in court with some sanity.
