That police in Democratic cities kill Democrats, and instead of interrogating Democrats, you go and boycott Trump? It's clearly the fault of Democrat cities, look at the history of riots all happening in Democrat cities and before elections are held, why You didn't suspect the Democrats of deliberately causing a riot? Instead, go call Trump out, what are you guys doing when Hollywood is blatantly discriminating against Asians in the Oscars? If it weren't for the fact that Asian opposition doesn't even bother Democrats, are you really after racial equality? Why have Democratic cities been the most messed up places for decades? Look at Chicago and Baltimore, they are run by blacks, yet blacks kill each other the worst too, why don't you point to the Democrats? Why didn't you blame blacks when they discriminated against other races on a large scale in America? Blaming Trump instead? Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

In the video the guy was screaming in the cops face while repeatedly reaching towards the cops holstered weapon. Pushing him back out of reach was the appropriate response. From what I understand, a medic was a few rows back and took care of him, which would explain why the non medically trained cops passed. Not sure on that part though.

@@Kelly_Ben is this what breitbart shovels down your throat? Why the hell would a seventy-five year old be reaching for a policeman's weapons, especially when all the protesters already knew how trigger happy the police seem to be, especially with regards to the protests. You know what's the worst part of it: the policeman who shoved him didn't even wait until medical help arrived or called for help. He didn't call an ambulance or even for help from his other colleagues, after giving him a quick lookover and even after seeing him bleeding on the floor. None of the agents who saw it happen before them walked over and did something to help a seventy-five year old man, lying bleeding on the ground. They just marched on by. It displays a pure lack of empathy. The old man was unarmed and skinny as a twig. He was not threatening in anyway. And you're here defending that behavior.

@@sonyguerra230 The idea is not for it to stay that way. You dismantle it and rebuild it and if officers from the former force want to join the new force, they have to reapply. That way you can sort out the so-called "bad apples" and establish new, better structures. And the idea of defunding is not that the police don't get any more money but that you can invest part of the former police budget in social projects that prevent crime instead of beating down on it hard after it's already too late. Also, police don't really need military grade equipment (which they get money for as well). The only thing that enforces is the idea that police can and should use said equipment against the people they should be protecting.

6:30 - Did the police officer try to get the man back up and one behind him stop him? People are the same everywhere, and if you motivate and reward them for inhumane behaviour, they will continue. Those who try to do the right thing in a corrupt system will always be discouraged and their peers (even if not corrupt) will not help them out of fear. And this holds true in every country on this earth right now.

You know, we have a pretty good aim on which police are going too far with their authority. I mean you see police officers protesting, some saying they wont work because they are not willing to do what these cops are doing to the protesters. So whoever's still clocking in, putting on their military gear, and going out to work with a whistle and smile on his face? That person should not be a cop. I mean when I was a homeless person in Oakland, I had my teeth knocked out and cheek bone/jaw bone broken by a police officer who just felt like oppressing someone. I'm sure he's out there throwing tear gas and smashing down on protesters.

"I'm not African-American. I'm American." - Raven Symoné, 2014 ""I didn't say I wasn't Black. I'm Black. My passport says 'American.' Trust me, I know I'm Black." Raven Symoné, 2018 I get what she means by that comment. She accepts her heritage, but she's not African. If she were to go back where she came from, it'd be somewhere in America. And just like that, honoring African traditions, for the death of an American is like saying "you're not one of us. So we're going to pay tribute in your native way." Still, at least they tried. Maybe they ended up looking a little silly, but that's just them not knowing better. Hearts in the right place, they probably connect "black lives matter" with the civil rights movements from when they were younger, when those kind of outfits were a symbol for what it meant to be proud of being black back then.

I don't see anything wrong with a different group wearing a part of that badge to signify solidarity between groups. In my eyes it was them saying "We are one. You are one of us, just as much as we are one of you." I feel like their whole hearted attempt at a show of peace was met with "Look at these stupid people not understanding cultural importance, let's hate on them for no good reason, even though they are fighting for equality."

There's nothing wrong with the term African American and with African heritage. But I think the disconnect is, that some people use the term African American as something opposed to "normal" American, which then is European American by default. That's maybe the reason, terms like African American, Asian American, Native American, etc., exist, but you never hear people saying "European American". And somehow, that seems to apply to culture as well: stuff African Americans do, is always called "African", but stuff Caucasians do, is never referred to as "European", but is considered American by default. In a context like this, the predicate "African", might have the suggestion of something foreign, something un-American, and that's not fair, because African American culture in fact is as old and native to the US, as is European American culture.
