But I have relatives in the US (New Hampshire and Connecticut) and I went there twice, aged 9 and 18 (already 33 years ago though). Since then my family came to visit us several times also. The last time was in 2016, before the election and I remember us talking about trump, they were voting against him because they felt he was an embarrassment to the US, even back then. My memories of my visits I'll treasure forever, but since the trump era something 'snapped', sorry to say. I couldn't stand being in a nation where almost half of the people are mesmerized by a lunatic, to the point society is on the brink of collapse. I may be totally wrong here (it's a strong statement), but personally I would have so much doubt about everyone I meet, and a trump supporter is not the kind of person I want to spend time with.
