I hope we all know that it doesn't matter who is in the 'top job' because this is a systemic problem -- greed. We have allowed many of our economic sectors, to take advantage of the American people. It's disgusting and frightening for the future of our country. My husband and I will be retiring in the next two years in another country. We are absolutely worried that SSI will no longer be funded. we'll have to rely on his pension, a 403 (b) and a very prolific lnvestment account with Tracy Britt Cool Consulting my FA. Our national debt is bloating and expanding every month. Our government needs to get spending under control and cut the federal budget.
@Dylanchris804813 күн бұрын
The debt issue is less a spending issue than an income issue. Just think how much the Reagan, Bush and Trump tax cuts + the SS taxes cap have shortened the US finances. This is more than the current debt. Working people did not profit from these tax loopholes, only passive income earners did.

Most of the billions of dollars allocated to Ukraine never leave the States. Weapons and equipment are sent from store and the money is spent with US waepons manufacturers who make more up to date replacements. This provides jobs for workers and consequent tax revenue for the government as well as updating the country's military equipment. Win Win Win. I can't understand why this isn't more generally known
@EdMcF112 күн бұрын
Because you can't survive by building an economy on government contracts and margins on them. The money has to come from somewhere and in coming from somewhere else, it impoverishes those who provided it. Then it runs out.

America's enemies must be giddy at the thought of what'll happen to U.S. defence, with experts leaving, or being replaced with loyalists to him! He's a felon, who tried a COUP D'ETAT, and so has got NO respect for the law, including treaties, God's forbid! Furthermore, he's an overgrown schoolboy, who won't accept "no" for an answer, so never faces consequences for anything he does! The thing is: would the Am. 9:19 read “The Art of the Deal” this is what Trump does before a deal. Trolling the other side a bit then letting them get worked up, but the negotiations are dealt with in terms that give and take a little bit. So the other side gives more because they think they’ve avoided the original demands. It’s all about rhetoric that unsettles them and then the negotiation process takes place.

So, if "career civil servants" leave because they don't like the incoming President, then their duty to the constitution disappears and that's all good, but if the incoming President doesn't want them, that's a disastrous threat to American security and we should feel sorry for the civil servants?

Imagine you're a sailor on a boat. The new owners of the boat meet you at the next port and tell you that when they take proper ownership by the time of your next stop they're going to purge anyone not loyal to them, instead of the Magical Code of the Sea (which all sailors in this example must follow). Are you going to stay on the ship? Are you going to wait for them to throw you overboard? Your wilful misinterpretation would be hilarious if it wasn't so deeply dangerous.
