Trump invited to testify in hush money case

The Manhattan D.A.'s office has invited Trump to testify before a grand jury as part of a probe into hush money paid to Stormy Daniels. It comes as new reporting finds that prosecutors have signaled criminal charges against the former President are likely in the case.

You can't be compelled to testify against yourself. They're essentially giving him a chance to tell his side of the story, if he wants to.

It is a grand jury review not a trial. There is no way he will go. Even if he were compelled, he'd plead the Fifth Amendment after each question.

I know Stormy Daniels/Stephanie Clifford has profited off trump thing to an extent, but I feel sad for her. She has had a very disturbed life and if you look at her life history (whether you like her choices or not) she seemed always to be living on the edge of a precipice. She must have been pretty damaged by the trump episode (who knows how many others there are) and I hope he gets his day in court and she gets some vindication.

It's time to phase out Trump. He didn't have the respect from people because karma caught up to him. Too much drama and confrontation will deter hope of the people, and losing morale is the worst to a nation. Mike Pence as President and Nikki Haley as VP seem to be a better combo for 2024. They are younger people, too, for God's sake. Why do you choose elders who really need to retire? With Mike, he would likely focus on internal domestic improvements more, and Nikki can improve the morale of people of color. Internationally, it will bring peace to all.

It was so quiet around. Cars were stopped on the side on the roads with stickers on them. Just sitting. They were dilverying up people before that..on the way to Tennessee a few times, I didn't realize in an area around Memphis where significant things occurred.
