Back a few years ago Congress was batting a few plans about to incentify/mandate entities w/more than $50 or $100 Million of single family housing portfolio must divest to some lower number within 'x' # of years. Change of control stopped those conversations. Should be discussed I think.

I think you underestimate private equity: if you leave them the loophole that they can still invest in rental properties, then rentals will suddenly become all that's available, and we'll have no homes for sale because they're all being offered as rentals. You couldn't make exceptions for small businesses who own a small number of rentals either: they'd just subdivide themselves until they were "Small" and under the limit. I'm not gonna argue to make renting illegal, but that's the road this idea would need to travel.

There are so many that want tiny house community areas. Gov county rules forbid this affordable option. This needs to change. Owning your own land and not being allowed to live on it is rediculous.
