Trump isn't the only American to pronounce Tanzania that way. I've met quite a few others who pronounce it like that. My issue with them was that they wouldn't even let an actual Tanzanian correct them on their pronunciation.

Back when Trump was first elected president, I laughed.. Thought it was hilarious.. Then 1.1 mio americans died during the pandemic and I stopped laughing. If the US had managed the pandemic as well as fx Germany, or Denmark, or France or just as poorly as Italy and Spain - more than half a million americans would still be alive. There's a lot of empty chairs in american families that should be full of laughter, love and life. (the US had by 10th of March 341,11 coronadeaths pr 100.000 capita, Germany fx had 203,16 pr. 100.000 capita, so basically if the US had the response they had in Germany, about 400.000 americans would still be alive).
