To be fair we're in a new expansion and the ratings are always self contained as to if they'd see play or not, and warlock wasn't top tier last expansion, not as bad as previously but didn't compete with machine gun priest or jade druid.

To be fair, Corridor Creeper IS garbage if a deck does not have enough draw or other forms of card generation. It's better than that worthless Arcane Tyrant, but that's not saying much. The fact that people run THIS for "Dragon Priest" and don't just immediately Death your Creeper after they Duskbreaker'd your board is precisely why a low-value "tempo" card like Creeper is excusable. True Control Dragon Priest, not this all-in Combo junk, really doesn't care about your discounted 5/5 if you don't have something like Elven Minstrel to carry the deck. Most decks don't have enough draw power to threaten a proper control build.

yup i read it wrong, thought it was friendly, and then when ppl were saying it was bad, i just assumed i read it correct. i did the same thing back when dr boom was released. i thought the boom bots said 1-4 dmg to any character, which is a lot worse, and then everyone was saying dr boom sucked so i once again thought i read it right.... (also i dont remember right now but i think i also thought that the text "warning: boom bots may explode" meant that they had a chance to blow up when summoned...

I still don't understand why the Creeper was such an overlooked card. You'd think people would've learned after the Thing, although the Runner took a while to git good. Creeper being a tauntless Thing in neutral is insane, and it's certainly a much worse topdeck, but it's so much easier to activate than having to summon totems, and once again, it's in neutral.

A lot of people didn't really pay attention when going through the neutrals, and didn't realize it was 'both sides' minions, not just friendly. Addition, people weren't considering how often games open with something like "priate, patches, keleseth" on both sides. In most metas the card wouldn't ever get out before turn four or five, but for now, it can become an easy turn three play, when all the good hard removal is at least 4 mana.

This deck is strong when you curve out but that's pretty rare, since there are barely any low drops. Then there are the cases when you draw all the Summoners/Archivists AND all the big spells and they're just dead cards in hand. Or the times when you play Keleseth and that actually screws with your Acolyte debuffs.

Having played so much warlock the last few months, I can't get over how much more versatile everything else is overall. Every other class's deck has so many more options. Cube Lock may be strong, but it plays narrowly. (At least from what I've seen. I have no Cubes, so I'm SOL on apparently the only viable control lock deck right now.)

Arun Hearn keleseth is probably way better in this deck, because its tempo oriented and +1/1 for every minion in your deck if you found it in your opening hand is so busted.

Yeah, only like 90% of the time you draw Patches and its ruined. Also you draw the pirates and your dragon synergy is ruined. You can replace it with more dragon synergy or some actual useful cards like tar creeper or something, which is just always good.
