It feels like this 1958 episode was actually trying to warn us about the future yet to come near the next 60 years...But no one truly listened. There is also the fact how the villain of this episode even loosely resemble Fred Trump too. There have been other examples like that before between the last and this century in other media. Back to the Future also pretty much poke fun at a character loosely based on Trump and how the first sequel's premises is about a dark late-2010s future where said character seems to have absolute power in America. There is an old 1963 Soviet propaganda cartoon against American imperialism and capitalism (about a millionaire's bulldog). Heavy Metal comics made one about him and his Wall campaign back in 1990. Not to mention what The Simpsons already covered before, the Fresh Prince episode, oddly enough The Angry Birds Movie, and Idiocracy just to name a few examples there. How did many of us managed to fail as a species in this supposed "progressively charged" century?
