It's a bit suspicious, though, that Trump released the phone call notes without much fuss. Also Republicans voted for the Whistleblower's complaint to be handed over. Then they "accidentally" send the talking points to Democrats, and try to retract it? They're up to something. Plus an Impeachment means nothing at this point. It will have to pass through a Republican-majority Senate, and they will definitely vote it down. Trump will finish his term, claim complete "exoneration" from the impeachment investigations, and use that momentum to possibly win in 2020.

Historically this should be a quick and painless process now that the ball is rolling. Clinton, took the longest to have the process finished, at 2 months and 11 days; Nixon's proceedings only took a little over a week, although to be fair he quit so we don't know how long that would have taken (not much longer, though, that much was pretty clear); Johnson's process took about 3 weeks. We'll have to wait and see how hard the Senate decides to block the process, in the past it's been widely believed that doing so was bad for an incumbent majority so they stay out of the way, but that was before Moscow Mitch and his cronies abandoned reasonable discourse in favor of protecting this fool.

Especially considering the GOP is the 'let 'em have their day in court!' party, it's not going to go well by him to be the first Senate Majority Leader in history to just turn down an impeachment proceeding. Once the process has been started the average voter on any side wants to see it followed through, and that's the sort of stuff they will remember come voting time (unlike practically anything else these days, I admit). We'll see if Mitch and the rest of the alt-right want to risk political suicide to protect their sacred cow.

I believe the stipulation is that it is not manually dictated but automatically dictated and then checked by people who have listened to the call. It is not necessarily more or less reliable than a traditional transcript. Sadly, I would be very happy if this point made the issue worse for the WH, but it isn't really the pertinent part. If they were going to edit it, surely they would have edited the word 'favor', which on its own is pretty damning
