What's your thoughts on the Denis Wick practice mute ????

Hi great video, the Denis Wick ET Mute looks a bit like its sticking out, is it because of the bell bore size of the trumpet or is this normal for this mute? I've got the same, sticking out a bit, so I was thinking about replacing with a thinner cork. I would love to hear your remarks on this, thanks a lot
