Something about the way you made the singular "wah" sounds with the wah wah mutes is just so funny. Keep it up, love your videos.

I'd be interested in knowing how to make an inexpensive trumpet mute using the same principle as the Mute-Tube, which I cannot afford. I think it's basically a cylinder with sound-proofing material inside of it. It looks very simple, the player just inserts the bell of the trumpet into it a bit and there's absolutely no change in blowing resistance.

Awesome video. I ordered the Denis Wick Wah Wah as my first mute and like the diversity and sound in a quiet environment. This is the best side to side comparison video of such a range of mutes, that i have seen. Now I wonder if there is a point for me to get the Combo mute or just a straight one as next one. Like the sound of straight mutes also. Subscribing to see what the next vid will be about! And if you speak about that or playability comparison of straight vs combo as straight.

Thanks for subscribing to my channel. You must have seen my Facebook post of your video with the plastic brass instrument. (I forget the name of it now. ) Perhaps on the next mute video you could add a solo-tone or a Pixie. But you can easily invest a fortune in mutes that very few people will get to hear.

Just to tell you but all the "Straight" mutes you were using where not Straight mutes they are just mutes a Straight mute has a smother sound and is longer.
@americanarmadillo1997 жыл бұрын
not technically true, there are a large variety of types with some producing more buzzy sounds (Dennis wick) and others with that smother and more muted sound (Humes and Berg stone-lined)
@americanarmadillo1997 жыл бұрын
those longer ones you speak of are those stone-lined ones. Also the sound and look will vary from maker to maker
