This is challenging for a beginner trumpet player. I am slowly getting better but it's tough. I have so much trouble holding the note for 16 beats. This video is fantastic for building my range and stamina. I also sing in a choir, and playing the trumpet has really helped my singing because of the breath support. I am practicing the video daily and have added it to my favorites. 😊.

@@TrumpetHeadquarters Thank you for responding. I remember when I first bought my trumpet. I took a leap of faith and bought a $2,000 bach B flat trumpet. The salesman asked me if I was certain that I wanted to do this. I was certain that I wanted it and so I bought it. When I first took it home, I couldn't even play five notes. Now I can play scales and some songs. My range is expanding and my singing has greatly improved. Buying the trumpet was the best decision I ever made. I have improved immensely in seven months. In a few years I will be pretty good. I'm excited ☺️

FIRST video in a while/thank you...does anyone else feel this way/the same...playing the Trumpet made you a BETTER musician??? or can make you a BETTER musician??? for another instrument. with all the frustration the trumpet can give you, learning how play it right. lip slurs, listening to tones, breath control, the patience that's needed, and on and on. made me a BETTER musician on the Keys/piano too. many times, I wanted to smash my Trumpet against the wall out of frustration, but I stayed with it. LOL

in my opinion, playing the Trumpet/or learning how to play one. can make one a better musician for another, instrument. NOT saying other instruments are easy, not at all. they ALL have their challenges...but that Trumpet is on another level of a challenge.
