Thats not true... It's unlikely for the shaman to have had exactly those cards. Very unlikely. In hindsight, yeah, big taunt would have been bigger. But not necessarily the play that wins the match more often - playing careful usually pays off in the statistics.

I think this was... sad. Priest is, basically, the hard counter to the deck by nature. But I also think, with some tinkering, the deck might become pretty decent. Get some hard removal in there and maybe Soggoth - especially buffed, that guy is very strong vs control.

i think it does a little. since the deck is so heavily comprised of taunt minions, if you play varian then chances are you'll get at least one taunt minion and a 7/7 to add. it's kind of like a finisher for aggressive decks and an overall powerful play against midrange/control, usually. opinions may vary.

this deck is lacking the sparring partner + black knight combo, I know a guy, and since you don't run executes, ichor can be traded for public defenders or some other buff battlecry

That combo I made is cheesy but because of jade decks I think black knight is making a comeback vs shaman and druid. I don't have Varian or Hogger so I put in an execute for removal and Grommash for finishing/doing the annoying enrage quest I got today. Won 4 out of 5 games so far but they've all been against pretty aggressive decks. I lost to pirate warrior though because the dude was playing around protect the king and making otherwise illogical trades

I feel like Varian and either a Ravaging Ghoul or a Battle Rage need to be cut for Shield Slam. From what I see your main issue is getting over big monsters, which Shield Slam and Alley Armorsmith combined allow you to resolve said issue. Maybe Don Han'Cho isn't worth it either? Hogger and Obsidian are good thematically with the deck, although Obsidian could be cut as well since it's a little too slow to really get any use out of Bolster.

The deck can work, you need more removal. Wrynn and hon'cho are abysmal choices for this deck, especially together. The draw power also seems a bit too high. Take out these and add an execute or two, as well as some direct damage and I think it could work a lot better.

The winrate might be horrible, but this deck might actually be good for climbing up to rank5! I'm gonna try this even though I lack the Don, since I don't think he's that important. EDIT: Ok science has been done. Instead of Varyan and Hanzo that I lack I tried 2 2 mana 0/7s. Apparently there aren't that many aggro(pirate) decks that would justify playing this deck even in lower ranks, and against pirates, even though I won, the games were super close. You're probably better of playing priest...
