Trunk Seal Install On A 1955 Chevy

In this video we install a trunk seal on our triv five 1955 chevy. its a first time for us, lets see how it goes.

I enjoyed the video BW! I would suggest to let the seal set for a while with the trunk lid shut. It'll form around the car and probably settle the trunk lid down after a month or so. I'm loving the black paint job. Have a good one Buddy 👍

Nice job BW you made it look easy.Could you imagine the poor guys years ago on the assembly line doing that install all day long,LOLL! I recently swapped trunks had a 1957 trunk swapped it to a 1955 trunk.I believe 55 &56 was the only years for glue on seal.My seal has the push pins not sure what to do.Maybe ill just take the pins out and do what you did glue it on. I could drill the holes but thats a pain...... Thanks for the video..Later

@@bwsgarage Yeah you would put the glue on with your fingers & I would follow you fumbling putting the seal on behind you bitching all the way,LOL! No all kidding aside they probably had the trunks on racks inside up wide open & no hinges to deal with in rows and just knocked them out. Probably lightning fast with so much practice and repertition for sure ......

Nice video there Bud , I give a little while before I would do any adjustments in trunk, Maybe the weight of the truck and the heat will bring it down some, Maybe, Might 🤷😁 U and Kim have a good one ✌️✌️
