‘Nostalgic’ is such an interesting way to describe this game, even though I personally played it pretty recently. Coming to it after playing various other entries in the series, the staples and motifs it establishes feel kind of pure in a way. That’s how I experienced it, I only played it in 2021 too after it came to switch.

YES, couldn't agree more! I'm glad I wasn't the only one. Similar to you, I've played many games in the series, and being able to see where they got the Zelda formula right (in ALTTP) was so cool, and somehow nostalgic.
