Want to give a huge shoutout to Coach Lee for making me believe and trust the power of NC. It took 29 days for her to reach out but she finally did. My ex came over last night and spilled everything she has been feeling since the breakup and I contribute almost all of that to the power of NC. Even though we both agreed that it is too soon to start a new relationship, we came to an agreement that we do not want to shut the door on having one in the future since we both still love each other. I'm glad that you didn't take her back because she cheated on you. Nobody should want anybody back who cheated on them. In my case, our relationship was great but my guy got cold feet because things were too perfect. So he started to freak out and worry about all the things that can possibly go wrong with us, and ended it. In that case, it would be worth trying again if he were to come back. My only issue is that the spark might not be there on my part if and when he comes back. But I still think he is an amazing guy, just a scared one, scared of something really good in his life. But there was no infidelity and he was super respectful when we were dating. He was amazing, actually. It was the healthiest, happiest relationship I've ever been in.

Broke up with a guy 6 weeks ago. He said he didn’t know what he wanted, so we ended things. I liked him and Amit sucked but we only dated for about two months. I’m 35 and he was 43. You are so right. I stopped reaching out to my ex and he reached out to me by calling me asking a simple question at first. Then he wouldn't contact me for 2 weeks at a time and the conversation would be a basic question. He finally, asked why I wasn't calling him. I called him and he didn't answer so I did not reach out again. Long story short...let him reach out to you...eventually he will want to see you again like Coach Lee says. My ex and I are seeing and talking to each other regularly and I recently spent a week at his house. What I love about no contact is that while you are doing it, you start discovering your own self worth and you start realizing life isn't going to end. Then it's just a cherry on the top with whipped cream when the one who was dumping you or treating you badly comes back and you realize you don't even want them anymore. Needless to say, I pretty much told her I understand, it's ok, and absolved her of all debt, and that I needed to say goodbye. Gotta be strong! I am in no contact right now (barely a month in). A couple of weeks ago I was in the hospital for almost an entire week. Kidney stone, obstruction, and gall bladder tanking, on the day of the birthday of the person I fell in love with. Ironically, my best friend share's this birthday, and she came to bring me things and take care of me. It was extremely difficult not to reach out and say, "hey I am in the hospital, all of these things are going on.." but I did not. This person has no idea I was in the hospital. Coach Lee...it works. In conjunction with other things. My ex and I broke up three months ago. She texted me after 21 days of no contact. She is coming over on Friday and we are spending the weekend together. We haven't seen each other since the first week of February! She told me that she has not been able to stop thinking about me, she misses me like crazy, and she just moved into a new apartment and she decorated the place with memories of us and things that we had done in the relationship as a way of feeling like I was there. I had chased after her and begged and pleaded for two and a half months trying to talk her into getting back together but she was always unreceptive. So I went into no contact a little over 3 weeks ago, and then I started actually (and this might sound weird) reading up on the Law of Attraction and basically doing visualization in which I was visualizing the two of us back together. And she texted me literally 24 hours later.

I started to worry that it wasnt working but i just kept focused to better myself and BOOM about 3 days ago she contacted me for NO REASON talking about the traffic being bad around the apartment complex we stay at(we stay in the same complex just to be clear) and i replied of course but i kept it short. We had a 'good' break-up, for as far that's possible with a break-up. It was dramatic, in the sense that is was so sad for both parties, but no arguments. He basically was just in a quarterlife crisis, lol. I reached out in october, after 4 months of NC. I honestly wanted to know how he was doing. He was receptive, we had a casual and nice conversation, he told me more about him than I was expecting he would. Then, all of a sudden, he stopped answering me (I asked a simple question, something about his health), and that was it. I didn't understand, but I left it like that. I saw him a few weeks ago unplanned, we crossed paths at a bar. We were forced to sit together with a mutual friend of us. I was with a friend of mine, who he started talking with. I listened, joined the conversation a bit but that was it. He hasn't reached out to me once. In a month it will be his birthday. I used to make the most extreme and creative presents for him. This year, I won't even say a word I decided. I feel like there is nothing left for me to say to him at this point. He only gives me silence, for whatever reason that may be. Somehow I find it rude that a person can't even ask once, out of his own intention, how I am doing, after 5 years of being together (and not to mention after all the shit I've done for him while he had times of depression and isolation). Always been his best friend. But if that's how it's gonna be, that's how it's gonna be. I'm not forcing my way into someone's life. I'm still sad, but the pain will fade. I sincerely want to know how he is really doing, and how he is really feeling now, but I am not going to ask. Hello Coach, my wife (married for 20yrs) left me and my 2 boys on Christmas Eve (2019). She’s been asking her friends what she should do (not her own family) and wanting to socialize everyday. Trust this No Contact works for sure! The woman I’ve seen seeing is off and on all the time bc she has been hurt bad in the past and is scared every time things get to serious..So much confusion leads to arguments and I admit I’ve done a lot of giving in and making the first step during No contact but when I don’t it usually only take her a couple days or so.. We got into it pretty bad a few days ago and I didn’t think I’d hear from her and I was gonna give it plenty of time but she wrote me Happy Fathers Day and I thanked her and told her I do care for her and if she wants a break I hope we can talk one day and then she called me a few minutes later and we had a great convo no arguing and we are gonna take a break a little bit and see what happens in a month or so. I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep, I could barely function, I threw up multiple times a day because the thought of actually losing him made me sick. We work at the same place. He avoided eye contact and seemed fine whenever I saw him. I’ve always been the type to beg for him to stay. I loved him more than I ever loved anything in this world. I started watching these videos. At times they seemed to really help, but others it was hard. I went through a week of no contact and boy was it the hardest week of my life. But he came back today, telling me he couldn’t sleep, he was very unhappy, this was very hard for him. I told him he seemed fine and he wouldn’t even look at me. He said he couldn’t because when he did, he pictured me with someone else and it killed him. We talked and he asked me to give him just a little more time to be sure. I agreed. My ex reached out to me by email after a month and a half of radio silence on my part. I could tell she was interested in what I was doing, but didn't want to outright say she wanted to catch up. But after that month and a half, I realized that I don't want to try to get her back. She was so hot and cold when we were together, that I realized that something wasn't right about me and/or us. It should never be that hard when two people feel strongly about each other. I've been polite, but neutral. I don't ask for info from her, nor do I make it seem like I want to meet her. I don't reach out at all. I think it's for the better. I can work on some of the issues that maybe caused her to give me mixed signals in the first place. I’m at 4 weeks of no contact, she broke up with me btw, no sign of anything at all, I keep hoping every day that she’ll text me but it never comes. I fluctuate every day between I’m done with her and I’m craving her. I feel crazy. I watch coach lee to calm me down and keep me focused. To be honest I just want her to be happy. The number 1 fix for dealing with a broken heart is working out. Even if you aren't in shape this is a must! This endorphin release will last you many hours and save you a long anxious evening. At lunch today I was at rock bottom. I had horrible thoughts of my ex never coming back, screwing other men, ect. Currently my thoughts are all positive. I know who I am, I know what I have to offer. If she doesn't come back it's her lose. Furthermore, I've put a date on it. If she doesn't reconcile before then, I'm opening up the floodgates to other women.

I need to share this. I just talked to my ex about my feelings and intentions, she is on a rebound relationship now and keep texting me, so i went full no contact. You keep saying not to ignore your ex when they reach out, but be more specific man! What if your ex is just throwing out feeler texts and shit tests like "how are you" or even worse, "oh, so you're ignoring me now?" This doesn't mean they want you back, it just means they want to know if you will answer them everytime they message you. I went no contact on my ex when he broke things off with me at the end of August. This is not the first time he broke things off. The first time was over the summer, and I couldn't even give it a week of just giving us time and space. I called him, text him. I went overboard. At that time we got back together 2 wks after the breakup, and I really rushed things which didn't help. This time around I decided to just leave things alone. No phone calls to him, no text messages. Nothing. It was hard to not reach out, but I made it through the 30 days. I decided to send him my first text in 30 days the other day, just asking how he is. It was a very simple text, nothing more. I honestly didn't expect him to respond. But 3 hours later he did. We exchanged a few more text messages and that was it. I didn't say I missed him, I didn't ask if we could meet up, I didn't bring up the breakup. I'm glad that I initiated contact. And just because they are not initiating contact doesn't mean it's a negative. They're responding right? So that's a good thing. But just because my ex responded doesn't mean I'm thinking we are going to get back together. And you guys shouldn't jump to thinking that either. Remember if you just initiated contact with your ex after no contact, then it's all about easing your way in with the texting. Don't rush anything, don't have expectations. One day at a time. Trust no contact. It will help you.

Hi Coach Lee, my partner and I broke up a few months ago and was completely devastated and obviously still am. The relationship was bad for about year previously and he had anger issues, bad so that he broke my stuff. He promised for over two months to seek therapy for it and didn't and then just one day we had one last fight running away, scared, and we broke up and moved out of apartment together. We have exchanged angry and hurtful words and messages here and there since then but the last month has been fine. We agreed to talk briefly over the phone recently and it was nice. I really miss him and want to be with him but we haven't talked since then with the exception of some texts but during our call he did say that we were never getting back together. I know he stays busy with full time work, school, and other activities. We were in a relationship for four years and he was my first ever relationship. I know it wasn't the greatest relationship and maybe I should move on but I still don't see myself with anyone else. Any thoughts?

The thing is my ex was like, we have big languish and cultural difference. Plus, I acted differently before and after we are dating. He'd love to be friends, but cannot be a bf/gf. I really think the only reason is that he isn't that into me. He has tons of excuses to stop this 1-year relationship. I could sense that he has met someone else. I'm now more angry than sad. I also want this no contact thing, but just b/c I wanna get over him, not b/c I want him back.

Hallo coach Lee, thank you so much for your great explanations! All you said is true. I am so amazed that it works. In order not to contact him I had to whatch every day your videos. I guess I always did too much for our relationship, fearing otherwise to lose him. I began doing more for myself: investing more time for my family, friends, sports, job and choir.
