I had to come back & comment because this WORKS! I have a very avoidant partner, & after a month of me not initiating contact, he has recommitted to the relationship, and we are even stronger than before. I watched Coach Lee’s videos on repeat to give me strength & to keep me positive, and I’m so thankful for this content. THANK YOU, Coach Lee!!

No contact honestly is more for yourself. It makes it easier for you to move on and get over the breakup as long as you are being proactive at bettering yourself. If you are using it to get your ex back it doesn’t always work. But it’s a win win situation because you either get your ex back or you get someone better!
@BambiOnIce195 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's definitely more for yourself. I was exhausted with my ex. He constantly did "don't get to attached", "don't talk to my kids/family/friends"... Just weird crap like that. I finally got so sick of it, i told him to go find someone else, and to lose my number. He tried to call - once. Not that i answered. I just couldn't be bothered with men who don't appreciate your value. Frankly, if i never saw him again, i couldn't care less. Nobody needs that kind of torture. And if you're dating a person like that, it's not you that needs therapy. It's usually THEM. So leave them in their confusion and go live the best life for yourself.

a breakup is a death with no funeral. Going through it, the stages of denial, anger, depression, sadness, blame game, and acceptance. It goes both ways. Unless this person is one where they only want what they can't have. In which case, they are not suited for a relationship right now. If they quickly find someone else, that someone else will go through all that too.

What does it mean when people say “work on yourself”
@fahimaqalanjo85905 жыл бұрын
It means to become a better version of yourself than before. A strong person who can go on with his or her life without their ex and you just have to be strong and have patience to get through hard times. You don’t need anyone. All you need is you so became the best version of you. I get over my Ex because i made the decision to move on, i realized i deserved better and one day I would find the right person so i respected myself enough to decide what’s best for my life. Then later on in time, i meet someone better than my Ex, and he is my boyfriend now. When you focus on the right things, you will find better friendships, better relationship, and ya should always have a life on your own, outside this person. God have someone for you, who’s meant to be in your life, give your heart and trust to God and God will give you someone who deserves you. When the right person came into your life, you will realize why it didn’t work with your Ex.

I just had a hard breakup. It's been really difficult since my five-year relationship ended a few months ago. My former partner is still very much in my heart, and I can't seem to stop thinking about him. Nothing has worked to get him back, and at this point, it seems impossible to be with anyone else. I know it may seem strange to admit this, but I miss him terribly and think about him constantly.

I completely understand the pain of letting go of someone you love. I went through a similar experience when my 10 year relationship ended. I couldn't imagine my life without him, so I tried everything to rekindle our love. I eventually found guidance from a spiritual counselor, and their support helped me bring him back into my life if you're open to it, seeking help from a spiritual counselor might make a difference.

I'm treating my break-up like a science project now. I've watched a lot of videos about ''no-contact'' and the progression of the person who was dumped (me) and the person who did the dumping (her). It's crazy how I can now make a timeline and retrace back all the events that happened during the break-up and how they were so precisely described in these videos. Right now, I'm super good. I've got my emotions in check and I'm doing all the things that I should be doing for ME. The scales are balancing out and shifting my way positively. Whether she comes back or doesn't I am good either way. I gotta say though, N-C does help a lot. At some point, you realize that you're in a better spot being the person getting dumped because you will make the effort to get better and not necessarily the other way around. ;)

I was convinced he would never treat any partner with any respect after he had fooled them into thinking otherwise. I was correct. @@mskamran123 It's been 5 months. I would be lying if I said I don't think about him from time to time. But the biggest thing I have learned in the last few months is time is precious. I could sit in darkness and mope about how life seems to be so heartless. How can one just move on? How do people continuously put themselves into relationships knowing that heartbreak is also an option? Or I could change my mindset. Use this time to feel what YOU need to feel. Because life goes on, darling. I chose to feel what I needed to feel. If I felt sad, I let myself feel sad. If I felt anxious, I let myself feel anxious. If you need to watch these types of videos three times before you can fall asleep, then watch the videos three times to fall asleep. Once I allowed myself to feel the emotions I felt without being harsh on myself, it was a lot easier to get up every morning. Now, I enjoy my alone time, but also enjoy spending time with new and old friends and family. This is the "self-care" so many people talk about. Self-care isn't the bubble baths and retail therapy. It's the way you take care of yourself the way YOU want to be cared for. I have a better idea of how to balance time myself with others. I pay attention to my flaws and ask "well, how do I work on this?" I use to have this "hope" of us getting back together. Now I simply smile and say "it is what it is." If we cross paths again, it is okay. If we don't, it is okay. Because life goes on :) I hope this helped!

I’d say about a month is the average relief period. From experience being on both sides. I broke up with someone and felt relieved for a little over a month and then out of no where thought about her and missed her like crazy. And then girls that have dumped me that DID come back usually came back around the 6th week. Some came back within a week. Some came back months later. Some never came back.

I find this to be extremely helpful in piecing together and making sense of intense and emotional situation. All of his advice was helpful but the thing that was important for was to realize that no contact doesn't mean ignoring your partner but about being able to plant the seed of doubt if and when they reach out to you. Not being so predictable and adding that element of mystery while being able to show "the best me" was key.

Lees videos are exceptional. Listen. It's all about the moment here right now. The past is done and the future isn't set. It's like a car on a highway at night. Lights are on and even though it's dark you WILL reach your destination whether that is that you get your ex back or you meet someone new and amazing. Imagine the darkness on that road is your fears and the headlights are your hope. When you are driving to a destination in your life have you ever stopped to contemplate the darkness? Of course not it's time consuming and pointless, so apply this analogy to your emotional situation. Each one of us is a very unique light so follow it, and you will find your true destination.

Patience with yourself and them. Women tend deal with a breakup immediately going through the emotions etc, men don't, they will carry on and then it will hit them, even a few mths down the line. Don't wait, live your life, you don't know whats ahead be excited for it, daydream your future, where have you wanted to travel, try new things, even a new love with the qualities and virue you seek. Then if they do come back by then your vibration will be so high that your out of their reach, take a brave step forward ❤️you've got nothing to lose, so much to gain 🙏🏻

I've been watching Coach Lee's videos for over a year, albeit less commonly as time goes on (due to a 5 year breakup that happened over a year ago). Kids were involved (hers), and it was tough for me to be cut off so suddenly. However, I feel as though there isn't enough emphasis on how long this thing can actually take. I have been in several long term relationships (1+ year) over the last 30 years. Without fail, EVERY SINGLE ONE HAS come back (roughly 8-10, if memory serves). I know it isn't what people in pain want to hear, but on the brighter side, let me stress this again, EVERY TIME! Several times it has taken up to about 3 years, sometimes less. There has always been a complete NC in every case. Sometimes it just takes time, and by the way, I have never once taken anyone back. Good luck, his information is generally right on, and NC is the core of it all!

This is surprisingly spot on. I went through a terrible break-up with my ex; I was the dumpee. About five years after the break-up, I contacted my ex out of curiosity because I saw a picture of her holding a little girl. I was curious to know if it was her daughter (it wasn't her daughter btw). I had already been married for about five years up to that point, and had one child -- with one on the way, so my intentions were a genuine attempt to make peace. During our brief contact, however, she did admit to me that she started to miss me around three years after it was over, and wanted to start over, but that it was too late; I was already married -- and have remained married for over 13 years. Very inspiring vid.

@@killua2617 like 4 days, I thought this was a good thing but it wasn't. She kept checking on me once every week or couple days. I'm almost certain its to ease her guilt.

This works. I did this for almost a week. She was reaching out and my responses were curt, to the point and always just enough to be polite. Otherwise I NEVER reached out. By today, a week later she wanted to do a video call last night and wanted to talk through the issues she has. We had a 90 min conversation and intend to talk again tomorrow. She's messaging me all night, while I was sleeping. Coach Lee is 100% right. I will be making a contribution. I had been texting my ex for months instead of actually talking with her or my therapist. I was reason, primarily for the end. I initially ended it, but then realized i had made a huge mistake.
