Here’s one key objection nobody is talking about , the “24hr cookie catche” so basically if you don’t close in the first 24 hrs of someone buying through your link you don’t get a cut ? How is that fair ? And basically you build up this huge following on insta or KZbin just so they can benefit and you get small crumbs ? After 24 hrs you just become free advert for Amazon , if they left the commission time on the link Unlimited. Instead of 24hrs it would be worth it.

Sure, you can do that but you need to think more long-term. That method has a ceiling of 1 sale per customer. You need to find a way to get that customer's email to YOUR list so you can sell them more stuff in the future, from other higher-ticket affiliate programs as well. Amazon is constantly changing their commission rates, if you rely on them too much, your "business" is vulnerable.

Hmm it's not necessarily a requirement to if the goal is only to make money, there's no rule that you have to. But in terms of eventual burnout and sustaining competitiveness into the future, one day you'll either quit or probably lose market share to someone truly obsessed. And that's fine, I quit projects that were making good money because my heart wasn't in it. If I don't enjoy it anymore, what's the point?
