I agree that we should vote( or not, NOTA) for a candidate or proposal, not out of some weird party loyalty. I think that's why we were warned that political parties can be dangerous; kind of like any other tool if not properly used.

It’s very refreshing to see another immigrant with the same perspective as me.I lived half my life in a country where only the government and bad guys bear arms. Because the process of getting a legal one is just too difficult for the average Joe. Not to mention that a handgun costs 6-10 times the average salary. Living here in the US now and seeing how the right to bear arms is literally in the constitution is just something out of this world. The argument shouldnt be its unconstitutional it should be noone has any right to tell you what you can and cannot own weapons or otherwise. You are your own agent, the only time anyone should have any power over another is when the other is violating your agency ie individual rights. The state itself is a massive contradiction since they steal from your labor just to exist. Key issue with liberal philosphy really, locke made great deductions but contradicted it when he said a state is there to protect rights. Cant violate rights and protrct them that claim is incoherent
