TRUTH OR LIE JANDEE? Well Mama Rose confirmed... it was true!!
This is another beautiful day here at our Philippines beach home in Davao Oriental. Cateel is our home, and this was just another day appreciating that. We started out with a little bit of catching up with Madman and Jandee... and of course, a little surfing. After surfing, the guys start cooking some ginataang with malunggay. Speaking of that... Jandee said he took it from Mama Rose's property!!! But all is good, she said he can anytime!
After a quick catch up with Mama Rose, I spend the day here at our beach house doing exercising, appreciating the beach, and then ending at the hot spring for a little relaxation and reflection.

Kulas, picking leaves off the malunggay probably seems tedious to you, but it is like a meditation. I haven't done that with malunggay, but I have done it with oregano, which has much smaller leaves. It's very centering and therapeutic to do.

Always love watching these at home vlogs. What seems mundane is a joy to watch cuz it always paints the picture of what we'd be doing if we were there. I'll never get tired of dirty kitchen cooking. The kamunggay fall from their fronds when air dried making no need for plucking. Would you believe air dried kamunggay is more nutritious than the fresh ones and you could crash and roast it a little to make a very nutritious dark tea.
