Stand firm pastor. Praying for you! Christ too was misunderstood. I learned much from your Sunday preaching about the Pharisees. It was a revealing mirror for myself. Thank you! I have lived in 3 continents, multiple countries, many churches. If I may suggest, there seems to be an element of cultural misinterpretation and expression which can become a theological disagreement. The critics who continue to condemn after your Sunday preaching, in my view tuned in to hear an apology and nothing else.

I heard this in the car on the way to work and absolutely loved it! Thank you for sharing this on youtube as well. I like pretty much everything on the Christian radio station around here, but my absolute favorite things to here are the sermons like those of pastor Alistair's. Lol listening to the radio in the car is what I look forward to the most about going to work each day.

Pastor, I've listened to your sermons, daily since July 2022. Listening to sermons, conventions and universities. I listen to all of your speaking engagements on KZbin. I know your heart. Remain strong against the enemy. Your job is harder than a brain surgeon. The task God gave you is about saving souls. This is far more difficult than saving the human body. The soul is more important than the vessel that houses it. There is an all-out assault on Christianity. It's not just third-world countries anymore. Our world has not been right since "that Woman Eve" messed things up! Satan is pulling out all the stops. He has thrown our world into chaos. You are here, now, because God needs you to be here to get us through this fight with the enemy. When you want to give up, get another job, remember this is why you were put on earth. You got the tough job, because God gave you the tools to do it. Hug Susan and your grandchildren and look at the love in their eyes. Now imagine all of us that feel the same way. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. You are in my daily prayers before I start your sermons. If it were at all possible for me to pick up sticks and move to Cincinnati to come to your church on Sundays. I would absolutely do it. I will have to share my love for your sermons, your dry sense of humor, and your great choice of music lyrics from afar. Your style and your truth is what makes your sermons the best I have ever heard. Ok, Billy Graham and Dr. Charles Stanley are in your league, and excellent as well. Man, I would be in heaven to have all three of you on stage at the same time!

I’m a faithful listener. And… I’m a mother of a daughter who is on this dreadful road. Sadly, I don’t agree with Allistar in this cultural dilemma. The Lord speaks Truth for a reason. He’s holy! My relationship with Him must come before my relationship with my daughter. The journey with her started with a lot of threats; but I am here to testify that holding fast to Truth, (done in love) to this point proves to be the best road. She is still in relationship with me. And, I believe it will be standing strong in what God requires will be more likely the evidence in this dark world to persuade her that what God offers her in Christ is far better!

The Mainer is checkin in!!. Well I don't think I would have given the advice you did to the grandmother but I understand why you did. The very end of your explanation to your congregation showed me the grandfather in you. People forget that Jesus PUT Himself in the company of prostitutes and other "sinners" on PURPOSE. We don't know what happened at that gathering and the grandson (?) knew his grandmother's faith in Christ. Thanks for being honest in a day where honesty is a rare commodity. ❤

Who chose this message in light of mall the controversy? I didn’t hear “Christ” at all. Just go have a good life. I’m a Truth Partner and just doubled my monthly contribution. So, no, I’m in no way throwing this ministry under the bus. And I just watch a video for John McArthur saying it’s ok to make a wedding cake for a gay couple ( in 2017). For the same reason Brother Alistair gave, compassion, grace, and keeping the lines of communication open.

"Celebrate Life." The point Alistair MISSED is his advice to the grandma was for her to "celerate DEATH." Her grandson was entering into eternal death and Alistair advised grandma to celebrate.

It was insulting to say your critics don't know about nuance. Christians need to learn how to disagree in a Godly way. I appreciate you trying to combine love and standing for holiness, but we shouldn't attack people when they question us.

I appreciate your ministry but u are so wrong with your opinion of telling a grandmother to validate a same sex marriage. Do not understand. She would b placed in a position of hugging and validating this union. It is not a marriage Pastor. How can u attend and b happy for two people who are mocking true marriage. I admire you and listen to you but I am so sad and distressed. I heard someone say the father of the prodigal did not go to his son in the brothel and pig pen to b loving. The son came to him. How can u demonstrate happiness and celebrate something that is a mockery. Oh dear Pastor help those of us who love to hear the Word from you understand you encouraging someone to support and Celebrate this. She can love and embrace the grandson without celebrating the sin.

I also admire and learned so much from Pastor Begg; however, on this issue I firmly believe he's wrong. The prodigal son REPENTED and a sign of repentance is to turn and accept consequences. Mercy and compassion is given when repentance is present. A very good discussion I found is in the Becket Cook show with his guest Dr. Robert Gagnon. The best and merciful way to understand and handle this situations and why. I pray Pastor Begg will "work out his own salvation," as he said. He's our brother and I don't condemn him for this, but we're called to discern.
