HUD the most underrated car feature. Once you’ve had one you can’t go back to not having one. Especially if you do a lot of stressful driving, ie busy freeways or two lane highway, it relieves a lot of eye strain and helps keep your eyes on the road. More cars need them.

It’s made to be a fun on-road truck that’s fast and can play around on the weekend. The Raptor is bred in Baja and can pretty much handle anything you throw at it off-road.

As someone who’s driven both regularly (I work for a CDJR dealership and my Dad owns a Raptor R), these two trucks are so similar to each other that other than looks and a few small differences (such as rear travel distance), they’re really not very different from one another. I prefer the TRX though, for the same reasons stated in this video.

Yup I agree! Ive had 2 Raptors and I got tired of changing the phasers on them. For one the raptors the phasers were changed 3 times!!! Luckily under warranty but still the hassle of leaving it at the dealership was a pain. Plus I kept having issues with the 10 speed transmission. Just picked up a TRX and will see how it goes.

Would still choose a Raptor over a TRX. Raptors have better suspension. My neighbor had a TRX before upgrading to a Raptor R. I have a GenWon Raptor and he’s fell in love with mine over his. Plus, his was always in the shop with differential, electrical and transmission issues. My GenWon has no issues other than general maintenance, 136k miles and still going strong

Tint the front windows and this is my exact truck. I first got into the market looking at Raptors and then the Rs. Eventually I found the TRX which instantly just looked cooler and more badass, the performance was very close, but then realized I could get into a very low mileage TRX for about 30-40k less than a Raptor R and the TRX was more luxurious to daily. Absolutely a no brainer and I believe the people that are paying all that extra money for an R are ridiculous. One of my Docs bought a regular Raptor new for just a couple thousand less than I paid for the TRX with only 9k miles. I took him for a ride and could instantly see the regret on his face lmao.

Ive never owned a TRX but I did just buy the 2024 Raptor R. And my buddy Jose has had his TRX for about 6 months now. We have home off-roading 3 times and all 3 times his TRX can not keep up with mine. The Raptor r had the better suspension, we have also dragged race and roll raced 6 or 7 times and I leave him in the dust every single time. And as for the interior yes the TRX has a huge screen but other than that they are both just as luxurious. But in mine and my buddies Jose opinion the Raptor R has a more comfortable and smooth quite ride. Could just be that the TRX platform is a couple years old now and My 2024 Raptor R which just got a refresh for the 2024 model year has the latest suspension. As for the price difference honestly 20K really is nothing

Biggest difference is that the Hemi is a 16 valve pushrod V8. The Ford has a overhead cam 24 valve V8

the only problem is the off-road. maybe because one weighs more or something else, but trx’s can not go off-road, especially when it’s a little wet. raptors can do it a bit better in that aspect. but for the road 100% the trx

Okay, good arguments. I'm not gonna question you if you're buying a gorgeous truck. Both are fantastic. Higher quality interior than a Ford?! No! He said with strong irony. The problem for us Brits is that we cannot fit those Rams and F150s down our roads or in our parking bays. So we only have the smaller Ford pickup trucks and some others (Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi, occasionally a Mercedes X Class), but they're small from American points of view. We need bigger, straighter roads and parking bays!

I’ve never driven a RR, but have driven my buddies TRX, what a beast, hard to believe they can get away with making something that feels like an Abrams tank with an Apollo rocket strapped to it, weaving thru traffic at WOT is an adventure.

Also comes down to whether you like 10 speed Automatic Transmission ( Raptor R ) or 8 speed Automatic Transmission ( Trx ), the only reason why I would go with the Raptor R is bc I like the 10 speed than the 8 speed, but what I like too is how comfortable it is and how smooth it is on road and off road, it tows more… I wish it had the supercharger sound to it tho plus the 12 inch screen I would not handle, the tailgate cuz I’m a big hunter😂. But the reason I would buy the TRX instead of the Raptor R is the luxurious interior, the insane power output, the supercharger noise, and it just looks much more cool than the Raptor R… nothing can compare to the Mighty TRX even the Easter Egg gives it away!😁😌😂

I'm Chevy guy and i had to choose between both I chose the raptor r I've seen it beet the trx in a race so many times and when u jump a trx above 6 feet it brakes the suspension and air bags deploy and the raptor jumps at 10ft and it land so smooth!

I like this one more because it’s the first one. I always like the boldness of Ram. Ford took forever to give us a v8 raptor but the damage was long done

Haven’t been in a raptor r yet but driving around in a trx doesn’t seem as much fun as I thought it would be and I definitely don’t hear the supercharger unless I’m outside but maybe a different intake would change that

I dig what you are saying and yes both are great trucks but I choose the Ford because for an off road capable truck 4x4 is better in the long run than awd. Less regular wear and tear on parts. Just my opinion though.

I personally like the raptor R, dealers tend to sell them for the same price sadly. But i respect people who prefer the TRX, 15 years from now trucks like this could be like the top muscle cars and exotics of the 60’s

The raptor r also weighs less and is faster and was built initially for the Baja 1000. That’s where the biggest differences is. Other than the price which makes sense when you’re basically buying a homologation truck vs a truck that wants to be a homologation truck.

I'd choose the raptor. 14.1 inches of travel over just 14 is the selling point for me.

Trx is cheaper and is less likely to have dealer mark up considering it's been out longer time.

Cheaper but better quality, more performance capability and aftermarket support, no need to associate yourself with a company like Ford that's so detached from their target customer base either. Ram TRX is a Raptor Killer. Dodge made sure to let everyone know with that killer graphic no pun intended. I may be biased because I've worked for CJDR but I know damn well most car guys agree. Single cab, short bed baby TRX is what the world needs right now.

Personally, I could do without the heads up display. Yes it’s cool but if you ever have to replace the windshield because of chips and/or cracks it is obscenely expensive to replace compared to a vehicle without the display because the projector has to be recalibrated and it’s also a special windshield

This man says a heads up display really they had those back in the early 2000s and they were junk and they're junk now I see these cars having these heads up display and not working in 10 or 15 years
