Being out for 10 years will do that for a vehicle. TRX is on year one so tough to compare that statement plus COVID impacting the industry slows things down. Hoping it’ll get the support the Raptor community has garnered over the years.

I’ve heard a few shops are reluctant to make parts for the TRX. SVC for example won’t be doing anything for them. Others only doing bumpers and cosmetic shit. I think there is a reluctance to make suspension kits because the market is so limited. Very few out, most buyers are not off-roaders, and we are unsure if it will stay with stelantis killing SRT and the hellcat engine days are numbered. I hope companies to make kits to make them better than a Raptor. Competition always drives innovation and the raptor needs competition to make it better

I would have ditched the Gen 1 for the TRX. Ive owned two gen 1s, nice truck for what it is but feels ancient compared to the TRX.
@KeepItDirtyOffRoad3 жыл бұрын
Definitely feels old on the inside. But the suspension and not having to worry about preserving warranty were the deciding factors. Gen1 would take very little investment to get right and it’s so capable with the SVC amid travel suspension. The TRX does not even have a good suspension option yet. Still a few months out and would require 5 times the investment to do the same PLUS would have to worry about the electronics and everything being able to handle the abuse. Too many unknown and the Gen1 is almost done.

Dude people barely offroad a 70k truck no way most people are going to offroad a 120k truck. It’s a mall crawler and track truck that has offroad wheels. Yes it’s built for offroad but it will be like a half or less of the percentage of people that truely offroad raptors. And I think you just had a lemon. I’ve had no issues with my steering or any dead spots. I crawl my truck I get air and push it high speed offroad and I’m happy with it. Trx is nice but it’s not a off-roader it’s a status symbol. Power equals more chance of accidents. It’s a street truck through and through no one is going to damage one and punish one like a raptor gets punished. They won’t get aftermarket in suspension for that reason. It will be few and far between
@KeepItDirtyOffRoad3 жыл бұрын
The dead spot in the steering is on all Gen2s. My 17 had it, 20 was even worse, every Gen2 I’ve driven including all of my friends trucks has had the dead spot. Even the guy here that had a Gen2 knew exactly what I was talking about. It’s well known. I do agree with you that a very small percentage of TRX owners are off-roading them. And even smaller percentage driving it like a raptor. That’s why so few companies have made kits for them. That and with Stellantis making so many changes at Mopar, the future of the TRX and that platform are unknown. BUT, that don’t mean it can’t offroad. When we did that comparison video, that guy hung with us all day and he was very green. He also said he had a smooth ride while the rest of us where annoyed with how rough the trails were. Is it as fast or as capable as a Raptor offroad? NO. May it offer a completely different and softer ride offroad? Maybe. We going to find out for sure.

@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad no yea for sure I think it’s a cool truck but definitely fire roads truck that thing ain’t going to Baja nor should it. That thing would be stolen so quick hahah. Chevy styling is far worse inside and out man. I hate that the exterior styling on the TRX looks too much like a Rebel. So much soo it’s not always easy to tell them apart at first glance.
