I have 2000 450es. After many problems with the es, I gave up and got a kit to bypass it but haven't gotten around to installing it. Meanwhile I lost spark and replaced coil, plug cdi and voltage regulator etc but now I think it's the pulse generator. Anyway, after the regulator was installed I checked the es and damned if it didn't work like new. Full shifts up and down including reverse. Dang....

Im having issues with mine not wanting to shift at all and not in no fail mode or throwing a code. Can I ask what yours was doing?

Have a 2000 450 eps and it will work for a few minutes then the 30amp fuse by the batter pops and I put a new one in and it does the same thing, looks at the wires to see if anything was open to the steel and the wiring looks good, what else could the problem be here? The ECU? To much voltage to the fuse making it blow? I took it in to get fixed and they couldn't figure it out! Any help would be great

i have a 2010 420 that had the shift motor locked up. i replaced it and now it shifts easy to fist but have to stop before i can shift in any other gears. any suggestions?

i got a 450 ..the esp does nothing when you push the buttons. ive eliminated the push buttons, shift motor, fuses as the problem. when i turn key on the shift indicator indicates N..when i manually shift it it shows -- for 2,3,4 and shows r,n,1 n 5 i think this eliminates the gear position sensor. ive check angle sensor and both sides read 1.3 ohms which according to this vid is out of range. can i asume the ecu is getting power since the numbers r changing on the indicator? any input would be appriciated.

Hondas are NOT the best on Earth, all Hondas have problems with shifting and the frames become rotten to pieces. Engines are awesome I must say, but bad shifting takes away greatness.
