Can you just buy the hight trailer lift kit for them? I want to be able to run metal or brass links
@YouTubesucks..19 күн бұрын
Does that kit make it the same length and wheel base basically overall just like the High Trail version?? Sorry I’m new to all this..

Thanks so much for this video. I ordered my lift kit after watching this. Always great to find out the options we have to make our rigs that much better. Great detailed video. I have watched it several times to make sure I don't miss anything. I noticed a few things on the last viewing. at 7:24 you are showing a nice completed view of the front axle from the underside. The lower link ends, at the axle, have a curve of them. I believe those need to be swapped sides. They should curve out instead of in. They will give the links a better triangulation on the axle for better stabilization. It has been explained in other videos that the curve is meant to go around the shock and still get a wider triangulation. At 1:40 and a few other times the links are referred to as Panhard bars. A panhard bar is used for lateral stabilization on the front axle when you have a chassis mounted servo. One end attaches to the frame and the other end attaches to one side of the axle. Thanks for great content!!

ahh, good point! i'll have to go look at that

@@3X7Outdoor I felt it was the right thing to do by coming back here and letting you know that you are absolutely correct in how you mounted the lower front links. I questioned there orientation in my comment above. Well, I installed that exact kit on my Bronco this afternoon and the instructions included in the kit showed them exactly how you have them. Sorry and appreciate the feedback and great videos.

@@3X7Outdoor can you explain why we need the drive shaft piece? The old man said to purchase it to do an effective lift.

Would the longer driveshaft have a better angle? It looks like for me that I need more angle. Not a longer shaft.

Why do you say we need 9855, a different drive shaft. Customer service stated I did not need to buy this. I gave traxxus this video link and they said it wasn’t necessary. So can you explain why we need the different drive shaft piece?
@FunnyGuy1777 ай бұрын
it just extends the driveshaft because of the extra hight. it may not be necessary but it is needed because if the shocks are fully extended, the driveshaft may pop out / because there's not much contact.

@Sparroh4 ай бұрын
@@3X7Outdoor this is not correct, if you buy that piece it does not fit, the drive shaft will actually keep the from compressing all the way. The longer drive shaft doesn’t work, thanks for wasting my money and time.

Looks cool guys 👍. I got a defender for my son, he loves it. The problem I find with Traxxas upgrades is they’re late to party with upgrades. Things like light bars, bumpers, etc were available through Injora much earlier and much cheaper than Traxxas. As much as I love my Trx4m , I use Injora upgrades because of those reasons . I do have the pro scale light kits on all 6 of my Trx4m because I like the realism , but most of the other stuff is cheaper and fits and looks great. I did have a mini winch on my bronco but it broke after a month. Maybe traxxas will build one that lasts , wait and see. Great video guys 👍

@3X7Outdoor8 ай бұрын
you still only have one speed if you put any other transmission gears
@Sparroh8 ай бұрын
Yeah but doesn’t it seem faster, it felt that the crawl gear was too slow to walk next in between “areas of crawling”? I do completely agree though, the low gears transform this into a much better crawler, night and day.
