Remember when Titania called out Jen for not even wanting to be She-Hulk? Any idea of a character arc is just going to be shallow, why should we listen to anything the 'villain' has to say? Even though she was completely right. Meanwhile all the 'good guys' heap praise upon Jen. You're right, it literally is the Captain Marvel route. I feel bad for the example being set for people as if this is empowering. Jen will likely never be humbled, or learn anything about herself to improve as a person.

I wasn't much of a comics guy but I followed Marvel religiously through games, cartoons and film ever since playing games like Maximum Carnage on the SNES, Spider-Man on the PS1, the 90s Spidey cartoon, etc. It's been rough seeing them pander to the lowest common denominator lately. About the only way I can defend Jennifer not dying after Titania sucker-punched her is by drawing a comparison to Norton's Banner (as described by Ruffalo's Banner) "eating a bullet" only for the other guy to spit it out. Also Norton's Banner survived a fall from a great hight jumping out of a helicopter, going splat to the ground that left a crater in the street, to emerge as The Hulk. I guess there's a presadence for their Green Sides to influence some self preservation upon their mortal shell? Trust me, it pains me to defend this pile if Sh*t in any way. I think you hit it the nail on the head, Jessica Gao and these Hack women writers have had ZERO life experiences. The Bride would NOT be dictating any cleaning chores or anything as it's her f*cking day to NOT stress out and just walk down the aisle and say "I do". All that sh*t would fall on the Maid of Honor and the Bride's Maids (The Best Man and the Groomsmen on the Grooms end of things) I've been to plenty of weddings that took place at all sorts of times. A reception in the middle of the day is not that uncommon. Don't make me defend this show. Ew!!!

I'm thinking back and I really can't think of a single moment, outside of being forced to by her job, or while trying to get laid, that Jennifer expressed the least bit of interest in anyone else's lives. Unfortunately, films Incredible Hulk and Thor: Ragnarök showed "human-form" Bruce Banner and Emil Blonsky surviving injuries that would kill them so Jen surviving a super strength Titania's punch is consistent with people who can turn into Hulk-like forms can survive fatal injuries in their normal forms in the MCU. So, that parts not a flaw, though the episode was still boring, although yeah, they should've showed a bigger bruise on human Jen's face or at least a bloody nose. Bruce jumping out of planes and surviving in human form, Emil getting kicked headfirst into a tree by the Hulk and seemingly receiving gravely injuries then slowly healing.

You know what what's funniest? Writers just showcased the absurdity of divorce. You die? They pay your other half your insurance or last will, it's one time deal. But you keep him alive, you divorce him? You can keep him bleeding for as long as possible. You strip him from everything he ever had, and even more. He'll have to work overtime, take loans, sell everything he has, all to pay those - and even then he'll be missing. And in the end, he'll be left with nothing. In life... There are far worse things then death. Immortal man had the good idea all along - why keep being dried up when you can just fake your death and start anew? But of course - they don't realize it. Or maybe they do, and they simply find the idea of a man suffering absolutely enjoyable. And from what I saw from this show thus far? Wouldn't surprise me.

She-Hulk: Attorney At Law gets a sitcom staple - the wedding episode - and it’s another fun installment that plays with Jen’s conflicting feelings over She-Hulk. We even get a little bit of action in Titania vs. She-Hulk Part 2, although that exciting fight is unfortunately cut short by a joke that doesn’t entirely land. But the B-story, which gives us the great pairing of Mallory and Nikki, is a consistent delight, showing the strength of the series’ superhero lawyer premise. It’s just too bad some scenes are restricted by the 30-minute runtime.
