Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

EMP battles with vehicles bit they are restricted from SIZE. Since we now know that spreading out your components over a larger area is a good idea against EMPs let's force builds to be small so EMP blasts can reach a lot more vaunerable parts of a vehicle making each hit a lot more significant because hits could be harder to achieve but more devastating when you land one.

The reason the gyro stabiliser didn’t work as well as you thought is because you need one going forward to stop the tilt down into water and you could have also doubled up for more power

Hear me out, 2v2 Space station vs. Fighter crafts. Each team designs an immobile space station together with two hemispheres of weaponry and two layered shielding. Each person designs their own fighter spacecraft to take down the enemy station without EMPs and the winner is the team that lasts the longest. And to make sure it's not too quick, perhaps limit fighter weapons to three blasters each or something along those lines. So that sustained fire isn't too difficult to do, but it's not enough to totally wreck the shields in only a few moments.

Idea on the Spherical Asteroid: A runner roams the asteroid while hunters fly around to disable the runner as fast as possible. Perhaps the runner can shoot back.

I love the emp battles and I think you could make one but in a race where you have to get to finish line while dodging emps (you could make mini go carts)

I just thought of if you made a hovercraft where the pads are on spinning arms so if your thrust gets disabled, you could still float while stationary, at least from what I remember how it works. Heck, maybe put quantum rudders on the arms' ends and make one of those really fast warp drive vehicles.

That works, ScrapMan used it to his advantage in the High Seas DLC. I think it would be reasonably unfair in the video but I'm sure the idea crossed his mind.

that isn't such a good idea because 1. it uses up power cores, but 2. (probably the most important one) is that if one servo get activated, and the other ones don't, then he'll spin out of control. and 3. since they're also doing it over land, it he has spinning pads, a hill might show up, and he'll tear a pod apart.

Hovercrafts with a shield that starts a bit above the water surface vs pirate canons would be cool too, because the shield deflects the damge of four direct hits in a row but not from explosions beneath it, one could still deflect an incomming shot by tilting the vehicle though.

At around 18:45 this emp gave me an experiment idea- does the distance of emp explosion from your craft affect the duration of the EMP?

Using the same vehicle was like playing a game of chicken, whoever avoided the collision first would be followed behind and wouldn't be able to get away, getting shot constantly And to get away you had to engage in another game of chicken but this time both trying to turn just slow enough to be able to get behind the other/shoot them while still being above the speed minimum to keep afloat Incredible!

the fight on the mountain gave me an idea. EMP battle with cars that have a really strong booster attached. if hit the booster will push the target off the mountain, or if there's any other map with an area like that

When you tested the emps with the tank you found that a lot of them causes a blowback effect that can actually do damage. If you figure out the minimum needed to cause blowback then you could build a vehicle that can fight with them.

Perhaps a EMP battle with submarines? There's always the chance you'll hit the ocean floor if the propellers are activated at the wrong time.

You should do more battles like these on the stranded campaign map but on sandbox mode. It is a lot bigger which is good especially if you do boat/hovercraft/helicopters and the terrain gives more cover which makes the battles more interesting.

Trailmakers Multiplayer tag, which means the tagged has to collide with all the players, fastest time wins, but with high speed hydrofoil.

can you point the emp's down? if so then you can use the emp's like plasma bombs to disable ground vehicles and up to disable the bombers. kinda like a Ground vs air pvp battle.

I think what might be fun to try is Russian Roulette EMP sort of thing. Each player will place a bomb with detonator in their creation, so when said detonator gets triggered by EMP, the whole thing goes kaboom! Basically a gamble, you'll never know when it happens until it does xD

You could somehow build a vehicle that has lots of weapons on that can only be fired by being triggered by emp so you have no control of what fires when, then you could have an emp that fires at your own vehicle to set off the various weapons

EMP Race. The only weapon you have is an EMP, and your job is to be the last one to finish. Possibly 2 players per team, one player is the racer while the other is using the EMP.

emp subs, no buoyancy, in a shallow or cluttered area.. explosives with proximity/touch sensors on all sides, so if you get too close to anything, KABOOM! The idea is basically to make your opponent lose control and hit the ground, which is an instant loss. No buoyancy means if you aren't actively propelling your sub upwards, you'll sink, touch, and die.

EMP airships. have your lift sections (could be gimbal jets, could be balloons) attached by detachable blocks, so if the EMP triggers it, you lose that lift as it disappears skyward

Im wanting to buy this game, had it for a while and played before any Dlcs, on xbox gamepass. But ran out of gamepass. Space update looks awsome, the new engimes and gyros should help alot wjth me making jets. Always struggled making fast and maneuverable jets in the game cause of the low power engines and the how big they are

Idea: Monowheel Battles. 1 Wheel vehicles, with a 20 powercore limit, that can jump. The out condition is either you've lost your wheel, or your monowheel is unable to stay upright.

Simple. There's 2 means of motion you haven't done yet. Balloons and sails. I'm wondering if you made a sailing ship if you could send your opponent into the Abyss or make their sails drop and send them into a cliff. Balloons is like a slow version of this.

Okay Scrapman, I doubt you gonna see this but I have a trailmakers video idea. A dogfight but the other person has to pick 3 features that has to be added to the others vehicle. (Can't be too bad to the point where it makes the plane not useable and two have to atleast be positive or harmless) 200 blocks 15 power cores

9:15 if you look at his speedometer you can see that he gets a speed boost just as yuzi hits him. So i thing the reason yuzi went down is not his damage as they sustained similar damage. I think the reason yuzi went down is becuase he gave scrapman a speed boost therefore taking all of his speed. having scrapman act like a wall which i think is pretty funny!

Creating a build that can grab and hold a bomb , others have to melee kill you while you have the bomb, the person with teh bomb the longest or blowing up the least can be called the winner. Video Idea: can you make a vehicle that just runs around the orbit planet with something to hold it down to the surface, and when it gets really fast, you turn the downwards thrust off/detach and try to escape orbit

I enjoy the trailmakers content, but unfortunately my computer isn't powerful enough to run the game so I don't know what the water physics are like. Is it possible to skip a vehicle over the water like you would skip stones and if so I'd love to see some content involving that. Like some kind of competition to see who could skip their unpowered vehicle the furthest or something.

If you put hover pads on a helicopter engine and have it permanently spinning, it technically goes fast enough that you can stay stationary over water. That's a route I would have taken in this scenario.

How about an EMP battle with no block limit, but for every 50 blocks you have to add a stick of dynamite somewhere to the creation. This could be done with power cores too. Set the power core limit and then for every power core over that limit, add one dynamite block.

No one ever makes use of the fact that if a hoverpad is put on a helicopter servo, then you can stay still above the water without dipping in.
