contact is of the heel and first metatarsal of the foot that is on the wedge

lots of places sell these wedges now. any fitness store should do. dont think that youll find any in stores like target though

Any shoe store as well. You can use gel-inlays for this. There are ones that only cushion the heel area that should be perfect for this.

There are coaches out there who day activation is not a real thing. You are either fatiguing a muscle or you aren't. If activation exercises make the muscle fatigued you are either very weak or you are simply isolating it very well which is unnatural and overrated according to these coaches
