As a Domino's employee, here's a few things you should know. The dips: DO NOT LET THE CHEESY MARINARA OR 5 CHEESE DIPS SIT FOR LONGER THAN 30 MINUTES TO AN HOUR! It's made with pizza cheese and therefore with conglomerate and it will be kinda nasty. We had to Remake so many dips bc people did not know. The twists and bites at made from the pan dough and the cheesy breads are made from large dough. The twists are made differently bc its what surveys have said. The cheesy breads are pizza cheese and cheddar. It's all very greasy bc of cheese as well as garlic oil. Hand tossed pizzas, cheesy breads, bread bowls, bites, and twists (except the cinna twists) gets garlic oil. Different things such as Pepperoni, alfredo, and Provolone cheese adds to the amount of grease. Trust us, the grilled chicken is t really our favorite ingredient. It smells gross and it doesn't really taste good on its own. The "grit" is Feta cheese. We use it in pizzas that use a lot of veggies have it. The specialty chicken is supposed to be saucy. Most people just use less sauce bc its faster. The bacon and tomato is made with garlic parmeasean sauce (yes, this is the worst smelling sauce) For the wings, I prefer them all well done. I don't get them often bc they are so greasy. A lot of employees tend to overtop everything, so it tends to change the taste of things I am going to stop there before ypu get to the pizzas because i could go on and on trying to explain some of the most common questions and/or mistakes

As a former Domino's general manager, I agree with everything here! My favorite thing was making my own wings, because if you bake them twice, sauce them, then bake a third time, they're 🔥🔥🔥 otherwise they're pretty gross 😅 I also really enjoyed taking a large dough as opposed to the pan dough, and making the closest possible thing to a real Chicago deep dish that we could make at the store 😁 roll that bad boy all the way to the top lip of the pan, then stack toppings and cheese and put a nice thick layer of sauce on the top ❤️

Former dominos employee: - The dips are still relatively new so it makes sense he didn’t know about them as a Pizza Hut boy - The “grease” on the crust is our garlic oil, a lot of employees at dominos use WAY too much - The bites and twists taste like pizza crust because they are made with the same dough as the pan pizzas - The Italian Marinara pasta could use more red paper flakes because we don’t put any in it, and it’s made with Mariana which is a lot sweeter than the pizza sauce - The Philly Cheese Steak pizza is made with mainly American cheese, that’s why it’s so gooey, and the Philly meat is extremely salty - For the Pacific Veggie, if there was no flavor, they honesty probably forgot to put the garlic herb shake on top, it only goes on that one pizza so it often gets skipped over even though that really makes the pizza what it’s supposed to be… it was also watery because they’re are just a lot of veggies on it and most of them sit in liquid - Keith’s final overview is accurate considering I have pretty much eaten the menu as well, pastas are great, Brooklyn is the best crust even though it’s a pain to make, and everything else is ok, the deserts are better then most though Great vid Look mom I’m famous 😱😂

i was a manager at dominos so i have some insight: pan pizzas aren't new they have their own special dough with butter balls in it and its actually the same dough the parmesan bread bites and the bread twists are made of. There is so much grease on hand tossed pizzas because they get garlic oil around the rim of the crust. Yes hand tossed actually is tossed, it depends on the ability of the person tossing it how its done but it is done. There is so much corn meal because the dough is hand tossed so it needs a lot of corn meal to keep it pliable. Those sandwiches should have been a lot thicker. The ultimate pepperoni pizza is actually supposed to have two layers of 40 pepperonis (so roughly 80 per pizza) with two layers of cheese (the pizza cheese which is a mix of mozzarella and provolone and parmesan on top) All thin crust pizzas except for some specialty thin crusts is supposed to get a layer of oregano on top before they are placed in the oven the Honolulu Hawaiian pizza actually has roasted red peppers not tomatos the buffalo chicken pizza and the philly pizza dont have sauce, american cheese serves as the "sauce" ALL of the chicken is bad. It smells like cat pee when it comes out of the bag. I wouldnt recommend it. i actually always liked the philly on thin crust cause it tasted like a cheese cracker lol loved the video! ❤ edit: the chicken that smells bad is the one that is used for sandwiches, pasta and pizzas not the wing or the boneless

Alex: "It tastes like the crust of the pizza." As a former Domino's employee, I can tell you that all of the breads are made from the pizza dough that they use to make the crust. So yes, Alex is right. Also, as to how it gets all the grease: They literally have a garlic sauce made with three different oils and a bunch of stabilizers that they pour on everything except the Brooklyn Style pizzas. To anyone reading, if Domino's gives you gastric issues (and you don't have a food allergy), it's probably the garlic sauce. Order the Brooklyn Style.

@graceinasweater91692 жыл бұрын
Alright, so- as a current dominos employee (delivery driver and semi-insider), I've got some words here. - People go absolutely hogwild over the bread bites. One time, there were 4 orders in a row that included 32 pc breadbites. Thankfully they're not that hard to prep. - Where in the hell did you get those breadbowls? Are those specially ordered? I'm not sure if I should be amazed or appalled. - The grease on the crust is garlic oil and we squirt it on from the bottle. Many people who apply the oil do not have amazing aim so it gets on the box. Yeah, you CAN get the pizza without the garlic oil, but I don't respect you if you do. The garlic oil makes the crust really really good. And don't worry, we only put it on the edge crust of the hand-tossed pizza and after it comes out of the oven, so you can just order your pizza without the garlic oil if you want. Or just not get hand-tossed, I'm not your dad. - I hate hate HATE prepping the sandwiches. Absolute pain in the ass to do. Not as much of a pain as the pan pizzas, but still a pain. Also, I'm not sure why they didn't cut your sandwich in half- we're supposed to do that. They may have been in a hurry or something, I dunno- that restaurant is always hellaciously busy. - Our boneless wings are pretty much just slightly glorified popcorn chicken, let's be honest. - The boneless wings with stuff on them don't sell very well at all- at least at my store they don't. Always did look nasty to me. Not surprised they weren't enjoyed here. The one bright side is that cut table for them just includes putting them in the box and closing said box. - Our regular wings are known as being pretty bad, and honestly, fair. We don't even fry them, they just cook in the oven. - I want to personally execute the sad sack that went that insane with the garlic parm wings. I am so sorry. Those wings got sauced to death. - We always cut our thin pizzas party-style! I'm not sure why, but that's just protocol. - Prepping a pan pizza at cut table is a giant pain in the ass and I hate doing it. Also the boxes for them get hotter because it's some sort of different material and it's black. Pan pizzas may be delicious but I have a vendetta against them. - I don't know if the prep people do toss the dough all the time, but I've seen my coworkers toss the dough at least a few times. Highly entertaining to watch. - There's always a giant pile of cornmeal on one of the prep counters and it always gets on the floor by the end of the day. Really makes sweeping a pain in the ass. - People do order the philly pizza. It's not a top item, but it's ordered. - Why the fuck didn't they take the cakes out of the tins? They're supposed to take them out of the tins. What the hell is happening with cut table in that restaurant. - The marble cookie brownies are the literal best. My coworker likes to put the cinnamon sauce on his but I can't vouch for how tasty that is, I haven't tried it yet. - Barely anyone gets the apple dip. - The cinnamon sauce is literally called 'cinnamagic'. I wish i was joking. I don't think anyone besides the restaurant workers see that the sauce is called fucking 'cinnamagic'. Banger video as always! Hope the recovery period from this video goes well.
@kasi00342 жыл бұрын
I haven't worked at Dominos in 9 years and it's hilarious that almost nothing has changed. The chicken is covered with a LOT of stuff to make it taste better. The pasta is frozen, legitimately gets to be hard as a rock when we take it out of the freezer. Most of the specialty pizzas are a massive pain in the ass to make. The worst offender was the extravaganza. The brooklyn style pizzas were a pain in the ass to make, we had to use small/medium dough for large/xl pizzas. The deserts are good, but WAYYY overpriced. If you’re ordering a sandwich from Domino’s, just why? Most of the time there’s a Subway is 5 minutes down the road. It's interesting how things change depending on culture, the way you grow and your economical level. For me, in my family (being raised in a third world country, not poor but not medium class) having Domino's WAS A WAY OF CELEBRATION. It was amazing (that's how I remembered it growing up lol) Disclaimer: I'm not saying that they are ungrateful or something like that because... I know that some people like drama lol. It was just interesting for me into notice that specific detail. How USA people may think that Domino's is a cheap, drunk food, and that for me and my family it was something amazing that we could eat once in a while.

Bless Becky for knowing Hawaiian history and talking about it! Bless Keith for questioning and asking us! In my experience as a Native Hawaiian person, opinions vary widely on the taste and name of pineapple and ham on pizza. Pinapples became associated with Hawaii after the overthrow because the owner of Dole plantations rose to political power between then and statehood. So, it's 1000% rooted in imperialism, racism, and capitalism to continue calling things Hawaiian just because they include pineapples. Personally, I like the taste of pineapples on pizza, BUT I take issue with the naming, I just wish they would stop calling it Hawaiian.

It should be mentioned that Hawaiian pizza was invented in Canada by a Greek. The name comes from the fact that the canned pineapples they used was from a brand called "Hawaiian".

As a former Domino's employee, I gotta say it looks like the store did a really crappy job on a lot of items. Way too much sauce on the wings, poor portion control on the pizzas, sloppy construction, etc. Also, a lot of these items were discontinued years ago in my area. The Pacific Veggie unlocked memories. The chicken is absolutely garbage. I had so many customers who would ask for twice-baked/cooked hard wings just to avoid the mush.

Dominoes is one of those chains where there's negative quality control between locations. I've been near Dominoes that absolutely rocked. I've also been near Dominoes that tasted and looked like they were made by someone at 4AM after a night of heavy drinking. It's like the opposite of a chain, where normally the strength is that you know you can get the same pretty okay food wherever you are in the world. Not so with Dominoes.
