One of the things that I think is really impressive about Keith is that he's able to see when he's messed something up really badly, toss it out, and then make something to fill the gap that isn't perfect but works. He might not be the BEST cook but he's got some genuine skill that just needs a recipe.

@@ArgusStrav if they did, then that's just poor editing on their part. Zach got 1/2 components right, that's more than anyone but Eugene. Keith didn't even have a marshmallow to serve them, and Marissa's tasted like horse and nearly made someone vomit. Rachel said in a video on Second Try that she'll talk with the judges and influence the results sometimes, and I think that's what happened here. It could've worked if they used the edit to make Zach's look worse, but they really didn't. It just doesn't make any sense.

so i copied someone's comment because that is the best explanation of the ranking: "Marissa's cracker was way better than Zach's to the point that the judges loved it. Marissa's Hazelnut chocolate was also better, whereas Zach didn't even make his own. Lastly both their marshmallows were horrible, Marissa's tasted better, but the texture was worse than Zach's. Taking that into account it makes sense that Marissa won over Zach. 2/3 of her components were fully homemade and much better tasting than Zach's. Idk why u guys are so confused. And Keith's marshmallow is better than Zach's because the taste is better, even if the texture is worse"

I think it came down to the fact that she was the guest doing this for the first time and didnt want to give her 4th. flavour wise they didnt really seem to hate zacks. but perhaps keiths was better although they also didn't really seem to like it that much so I could understand either of them getting 2nd or 3rd.

this is the first WAR where I vehemently disagree with the judges. Zach should NOT have come in 4th place over Marissa, whose marshmallow literally almost made a judge vomit. out of all of the s'mores, I wanted to try Zach's the most. I am happy that Eugene won, tho. those tartlets looked so pretty! 😍

To be fair, Marissa had a good graham cracker, she made her own hazelnut chocolate (the judges said they were good too), and the marshmallow was more of a texture thing for Ro. 2/3 components good. For Zach, his crackers were burnt, chocolate was pre packaged (unlike Marissa), and marshmallows were not marshmallows, so he successfully only made the crackers (1/3 components). The overall “is it a smore”, everyone got 1 yes: 2 no, so it’s a bit unfair to judge it as a whole. My guess is the judges based the ranking on the individuality of the components instead of a whole smore because of that. (I replied this exact comment to another person that said the same thing)
