The reason why the McRib only comes around every so often is that there have been times when it was a standard Menu Option, but due to poor sales, it was discontinued. It now remains a Semi-Permanent Item that comes around for a limited time every year because when something is limited time, it makes people want to order it even if they wouldn't have otherwise ordered it if it was a regular item, this is also known as "Fake Scarcity" in marketing. Furthermore, the main component of the McRib is obviously Pork, and the price of pork always gets cheaper around Fall. So that's why typically around Fall time, McDonald's will reintroduce the McRib as a "Limited Time" Item with jacked-up Prices while the cost of the Pork used is actually at its lowest.

Ben one suggestion little brother. When ever I order anything from McDonald's I get the GRILL which means when you ask for special orders they are always made fresh. For instance I always order the double cheese burger or the Big Mac when I do I always ask for extra onions. The extra onions knock it out of the park. Next time you order the McRib ask for extra pickles 😁👍. Thank me later bro !!! There is just something about those reconstituted onions I love. We don't have Krystal, or White Castle down here on the Gulf coast close to us anymore so I'll sometimes order the McDonald's regular hamburgers with extra onions to get that flavor👍

I haven’t read comments on here, yet, but the original McRib came out in 1981…and was a failure. It was re-released in 1989 and I was teen working in McDonald’s when we started selling it. I loved it. It actually used Bulls-Eye barbecue sauce at that time.(before you could really buy it in every store) I still buy that sauce when I need some. I’m sure McDonald’s got cheap and make there own sauce…just like their katchup..they originally used Heinz in sandwiches and in packet form. I knew you would probably eat most of them, despite not being hungry, funny guy. 😂 I need to buy one to see how it differs from the taste of 1989. …one last note..”McDonald’s Cheddar Melt” is needing a Comeback! It tasted awesome! Look it up! Taking 2nd & 3rd place for a future McDonald’s re-release is the “McDLT” and “McLean” both had distinctive tastes.

About 40 bucks here in the States IF you decided to go get it yourself, but if you choose a delivery option, then definitely above 50 bucks. Normally, the delivery fees are roughly 5-6 bucks, depending on how far your location is. And how much you decided to tips😂

The mcrib only comes out periodically because its all the left over scraps. After a while, the meat processing plants have a big enough inventory of scraps to sell to McDonald's so they can service all the McDonald's with enough mcribs for the time being.

A lot of people criticize the McRib because they don't like the texture of the meat. But I blame McDonald's for that by making this the same shape as a rack of ribs. Nobody complains about a hamburger not having the same texture as a steak or even a turkey burger having the same texture as a turkey breast sandwich they just need to make this a pork patty and leave it at that. Quit molding it into the shape of baby back ribs.

McRib's are easily one of my favourite items on the McDonalds menu. The fact that they don't sell it all year is absolutely ridiculous. I will say though that I think the sauce (while still very good) isn't quite a good as it used to be, I think they've changed the recipe slightly 🤔. Other than that though, it's still a delicious menu item. Christmas is quickly approaching so hopefully it will be available again soon, for it's annual limited run. Let's go. 💪

I was massively dissapointed when i first had a mcRib, it was good, but the only difference between the mcRib and the rib sandwich i had for lunch every two weeks from my middle and highschool lunch was the pickles and onion, otherwise it was exactly the same sandwich, same bbq, same patty, and same bread, and i was so dissapointed bc its hyped up so much.
