Actually, it can work for us hooded people. All you have to do is lift the eyeshadow above the hood and your natural crease, which will cause some shadows to be next to your eyebrow. Then, cut the crease with concealer and add a lighter shadow to contrast.

I think Tati used a similar gadget way back. I have hooded monolid. Haven't been able to make liquid eyeliner look good even with the ultra fine tips. Pencil in the tight line best but smudges like a hot mess in an hr even with the pixi and milani that many youtuber swear by as holy grail. I've had a friend say the Urban Decay 24/7 smydge on her monolid

It feels like a good starting point, but seems unfinished. -Maybe transparent materials so you could see where you're putting it -Magnets instead of that adhesive -A curved surface so it won't blur your vision with the pressure -Different sizes for different eyes. It looks huge even with Kathleen's beautiful big eyes. Needs work, but the idea seems cool

The curved surfaces might help, but it's not actually the pressure that makes it so you can't see, it's leaving the eye shut. It's a natural adaptation of your brain to re-route the visual processing to the open eye, so there's a delay in getting your vision back to the eye that's been closed. The length of time necessary is different for everyone, but it's something you can try at home. It's freaky and fascinating at the same time.

I have found that using a smugeable eyeliner or a small angled brush helps make a pretty good cut crease. I have a hard time getting my eyes to look the same, but those two options really help!

The way i do my cut crease which makes it suppperrr easy: I put a little dollop of concealer on my lid and look up. It lets the concealer transfer to (for my eyes) the perfect height of where to shape the cut crease. And if you put some all the way across the lower lid and look up, it should make that rounded shape. I hope that made sense and can help others!

Hi Kathleen! I saw you ask for what we want to see on Lights Lacquer for 2021, and I have a couple suggestions! 1. I need a millennial pink and a dusty rose! I love Mia, but I would love to see a color that’s similar but a bit lighter 2. We’ll Always Have Paris is the BEST, most LONG WEARING shade, I would literally buy any color with that same formula. 3. I’d love to see something Dark Academic inspired, especially for fall. Definitely think #3 suits your eye shape the best but maybe if you literally place your brush in the crease and then place the thing... I think they were still just a tid-bit high, you pulled it off though. Gorgeous as always! ❤️

It’s a good starting point and I would use it just for the line only and then go in and blend since the line is already there you could blend it out or darken it.

So I've watched a few people use this product and based on what I've seen: Find the one that resembles your eye shape the most, always relax your eyebrow (if you don't the cut crease will be higher up). ALSO try not to press it into your eye socket? Kathleen is the only one i've seen complain about vision. I'm a lefty too and I know I tend to be rough on my eyes because of not always being able to get them even, but maybe it's just me. but yeah! I wanna try it myself, it looks fun and easy to use once you get the hang of it!

Actually, it would depend on the amount of skin available between the eye and the brow. And cut crease is useful for hooded eyes, period. The tricky part, I think, would be to find that sweet spot to hold the tool to apply the cut.
