Goodnight Moon - this book is a must! I remember my dad reading this to us so we created the tradition with our daughters. They are now 28 & 26. Still no grandchildren to share this with but we give it to all the little babies in our lives. They sell it in a tiny board book so little hands can hold it. It is about a little bunny getting ready for bed. It is a fun story for you and your little baby to share in the poetry of the words. Still to this day my daughters and I can repeat the lines together. Super Super Sweet!

Anything by Eric Carle: “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?” was my oldest sons favorite. He would cry when I would get to the end because he knew it was done. I had to read it several times. There are more to the series like; “Baby Bear, Baby Bear, What do you see?” and “Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What do you hear?” Carle also has a book called “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”
@feliciakc15 жыл бұрын
For the first year, I would say to make sure to stock up on those fabric/soft books and those hard cardboard ones (like the borwn bear book you got) because the paper ones would be harder to turn the pages for the little hands, and also decrease book tearing/ wrinkling fiascoes :) but those are already fun books to start off with!

Anyway our favorites are, 'My Truck is Stuck', Click Clack Moo, Good Night Steam Train, Give a Mouse a Cookie, The Little Engine that Could, just to name a few. Also, check into the Dolly Parton Imagination Library and see if your area is a part of this program. If it is, your little guy will get a book every month from birth to 5. Again, your local library should know more!
