Definitely a step up from a "standard capsule bed" For one night on a ferry it seems ideal for a budget traveller.
@DerekArmsden3 жыл бұрын
I'm loving all these ferries and the options for rooms or capsules… or variations on those themes. These seem like the perfect compromise. Enough privacy to feel safe and cheap enough (I presume) to allow for the fact that you're only going to sleep in it. I'd be exploring everything else while I was awake anyway. I wish we had these in Australia.

One of your videos just appeared. I watched it, and got hooked. I have been enjoying watching them, now I wish I could travel around Japan, after covid of course. When you were traveling by bus, it felt nice to see a part of the city. You might try to take more bus rides so we can see more of cities, shops or sites. This has been fun, enjoyable and calming, thank you.

Now this capsule cabin wasn't my cup of tea, so to speak, I preferred an actual capsule or the one with the accordion door, it appeared more comfortable. The ferry facilities looked good but the capsule bed let it down for me. I will give you praise though because your videos are expertly done & I really like the idea of captions, no loud music etc. I really enjoy the idea of thinking of doing these journeys. Thank you & well done.

i like my fried eggs over sauteed greens or potatoes of any kind. I'll try some mayo next time. i've always wanted to go to Hokkaido (and Beppu) and now I want to go more. i'd go with a local person. i went to indonesia to visit friends who lived there. it was the best way for someone who doesn't speak the local language.

Great videos! And this is the way I, a Canadian, eat fried eggs with yolk... you have to get a toasted slice of bread and put it under each fried egg. That way you soak up the yolk and you do not waste any. Try Sciracha or ketchup as a simple sauce with a little salt and pepper on top the fried egg and toast. THAT is how I eat fried eggs.👍

IIRC, Japan has "simple lodging" with shared rooms and regular hotel rooms, and they're regulated differently. The door gap is a way to get around the regulations, so it qualifies as simple lodging, and still have a somewhat private room.
