The sticky rice with ice cream looks delicious 😋 and the sunset with Mt. Fuji is magnificent 😍 hotel looks cozy.. maybe that's the reason why there's no one's eating breakfast in there it's disappointing 😔 anyways once again another great food tour that makes me hungry early in the morning 😁 good luck and have a safe trip always 👍😉

Firstly, I like seeing the people on the streets again, it has been too long. Makes me wonder how the travelling videos will go, got used to seeing near empty ferries. Your shots of food and locations look beautiful, well done. Also I'm glad I was prepared and ate before watching, I've learned my lesson. (Sorry for the hotel breakfast, oof.)

I have many happy hours watching your videos. Thankyou for the time you spend doing the subtitles, must take you ages. It's a bit like reading someone's diary. It makes it more personal. It's nice to know what you enjoy, whether you're tired etc. Mount Fuji, looked stunning and the water, not sure if it's the sea or a lake, that was lovely to see. The cherry blossoms must be in bloom for you now. That must be very pretty. Do you have a monorail in Japan? Have a nice weekend, best wishes from England 😊

I can tell you didn't have the best experience at that last hotel restaurant. But I have to say, the magical music playing in the background mixed with the visually appealing and quite varied dishes, created a magnificent experience for me back here in California. I've been to that shrine! I lived in Japan for 3 years when I was stationed in Yokosuka, when I first got there they gave us a week long orientation course on Japanese culture so we weren't completely lost. On the fourth day they showed us how to use the trains, and gave us destinations we could go to so we could practice and told us to partner up. We did, and my partner and I ended up at that shrine, which was fun to visit. My first off base meal in Japan was similar to your first set meal, too. I remember I had cold soba noodles with hot duck soup to dip them in.

When you said "fish cake," I wasn't expecting to see teeny, tiny little fish still whole in the cake! 😗😅. As for the sausage, never thought of putting a steamed bun with a hot dog before and you were still looking for lunch after all that??!! That hot dog would have been my lunch!! I just realized I didn't know how to eat soba noodles until I saw you do it. The natives must have been laughing at me the whole time. 😂I've seen that same bamboo garden from another YT Japanese ex-patriot named DaveInOsaka and looks like it's still just as quiet as when he went there too. Never had matcha the way you had it and thank you for saying it's bitter because everyone tells me it's not bitter and that I'm crazy!!

It’s always a bit of a surprise to see all the small plates served for breakfast, including foods typically served later in the day such as pasta and vegetable soup. Still would be interested. During my 3 weeks in Japan (decades ago) I stuck with more traditional breakfasts, congee or full English. Lunch and dinners were very varied and some not at all Japanese in origin. I remember having the most fantastic carrot soup at the hotel in Osaka. I have no idea what recipe was used to make such a humble vegetable as a carrot and raise it to the level of flavor…I’m guessing heavy cream, fresh ginger and some other spices. I spent long hours working in those weeks but was so grateful our interpreters took us to the beautiful city of Nara and to his family home for dinner. Such a lovely time. I would love to go back but health situations and long plane ride at my age prevents it. So I will live vicariously through your videos.
