Hello. Just a sugestion. If you go to Sugar Loaf mountain, do it at morning. This way the sun will be back of you and the view will be amazing. I mean, you will be able to see the true colors of the city. The green of the rain forest in the mountains, the gray of the rock mountains, the blue of the sea, bay and sky, the white of beach's sand and the buildings. So, you'll have the chance to see why Rio is known in Brazil as the wonderful city. Otherwise, all the view will have one color only; light blue ( just watch it on the videos ). I'm watching all your videos 'cause I'm a tourismologist and ecological tourism guide.

Hi, I'm from Rio, I live in Copacabana. There are two things that you can try and that is very close to the place where are you staying. The first in Pedra do Leme has restaurant kiosks that serve fried sardines, order sliced lemon to squeeze over the sardines. Very good accompanied with beer or caipirinha. Not to mention enjoying the view of the Copacabana beach. The second is the Churrascaria Copagrill, is a steakhouse, which has everything for a relatively cheap price per person, located at Ministro Viveiros de Castro street, number 47, Copacabana. It has two service systems, it can be per kilo or a fixed price and without limit on the consumption of food. You only pay for the drink consumed, I want to remind you that in Brazil you don't have a drink refill service.

That drink was yerba mate, known as "erva mate" or "chimarrão" in Southern Brazil. The way you drank it, it's referred to as "mate cocido" which is basically the iced tea version with the optional addition of lemon and/or sugar. Mate is the national drink of several South American countries and it's derived from the ilex paraguariensis plant. It's naturally stimulating like coffee, but without any jitters and crashing effects. I like to refer to the effects as "creative clarity". Salud!

Guarana is a fruit from the Amazon. In USA and some other countries they use corner sugar in coke, in Brazil they use the Guarana sugar in their coke and it is so much better...
@Pixelarter4 жыл бұрын
That's not true, guaraná fruit barely has any sugar. The sugar in Brazilian Coke is from sugar cane, and there's no guaraná in Coke. Although Coca Cola has it's own brand of guaraná soda (Kuat) to compete with the leader brand they tried (Guaraná Antarctica, that nowadays belongs to Pepsi). Guaraná contains high levels of caffeine, and most of those açaí bowls you find on the streets are a mix of açaí pulp, guaraná powder and sugar (because neither açaí nor guaraná are very sweet naturally).
@daoson074 жыл бұрын

Yes, Guaraná is a fruit. Also an amazonic fruit. All over Brazil you can find guaraná juice, and brands that sell them like Guaracamp, Guaraviton, Guaravita... if it has "Guara" in the prefix it probably started as guaraná juice company. Churros recheados means Stuffed or Churros with fillings. Doce de Leite is a argentinian food that is made from cooked sweetened condesed milk. It's known all over latin america, specially in the Mercosul (Argentina, Uruguay and Chile) as dulce de leche, in spanish. It has origins both in Argentina and in Brazil, but I don't think people really care where it was originated? It's really famous in the state of Minas Gerais, a neighbouring state of Rio and São Paulo
