Glad you are enjoying your vacation and glad you enjoyed must of those Fruits from Brazil ..My favorite fruits are Apples pears and grapes.
@alainpierre4 ай бұрын
Of those you tried, although almost all of them are planted and produced in the country, the only ones that are truly Brazilian (although they are also native to other South American countries) in their origin are the cashew and the passion fruit (although the passion fruit consumed today is very different from the passion fruit originally from Brazil). Other fruits native to Brazil are: Açaí, wild plum, araçá (yellow, red, purple, guava), cabeludinha, cambuci, cambucá, grumixama, guariroba, pitanga, pitangatuba, jabuticaba, uvaia, buriti, araticum, murici, pequi, baru, cajuzinho do Cerrado, bocaiuva, guavira, baru, mangaba, cupuaçu, camu-camu, cubiu, abiu, inajá, bacuripari, guaraná, licuru, umbu, passion fruit from Caatinga, Brazil nut (castanha do Pará), pinhão (nut from the araucaria tree, very common in the south) among others. They all have different names in different regions. Although many of these are not commercially viable fruits today, these all are native fruits. Since in our soil "if you plant anything, it grows", we can plant almost any fruit or vegetable and it will probably do well.

mangos are overrated...oh and the size difference is hence the transport time, the fruits are harvested way earlier then the local available because they ripe during the travel to europe but they stop growing, of course. if they'd ship the ripe fruits they would never reach norway edible :)

I was surprised to see Asian pears in Brazil because when I was in the Marine Corps, we were in Japan and I found a tree out in a open field that has what look like huge apples all over it so me and a couple of my friends went over and picked one and bid into it and it tasted just like a pair so we filled up our shirts And took them back to where we were sleeping for the night and got sick eating all those pears lol but they were awesome!!!

To be fair we don’t have many tropical fruits where I come from. Mostly pineapple, kiwis and passion fruits (but much smaller ones than the one I tried in this video). We mostly consume apples, pears, oranges and berries 😄 And as for the cashew fruit they are eaten like I did in this video too. All fruits I tried in this video was recommended to me by the Brazilians I stayed with on my trip 😄 And ofc they make juices and smoothies etc too, but it’s not uncommon to eat the fruit the way it is as well. In this video however the fruit was a bit too ripe, which is why it tasted very bad 😂
