Trying Colombian Food + Exploring Bogota // Colombia Travel Vlog

During our trip to Bogota we tried some of our favorite Colombian food of our entire trip! In this Colombia travel vlog we bring you around Bogota with us as we explore the country's capital city and try Colombian food including Bogota's famous Ajiaco soup, Colombian hot chocolate, tamales, and Colombian street food!
Bogota is a huge city with more than 11 million people. To explore the city we visit the community called La Candelaria to see Plaza de Bolivar, Plaza de Armas, and Santuario Nuestra Señora del Carmen. In La Candelaria we also found the famous La Puerta Falsa; a restaurant known for its incredible Ajiaco soup and Colombian hot chocolate. We can confirm that La Puerta Falsa does not disappoint!
After stuffing ourselves beyond the point of bursting we made our way over to the telefrico to bring us up to the Monserrate lookout. With epic views of Bogota and a quaint church, this tourist attraction is one of the best that Bogod tta has on offer! We manageo get enough walking in at the Monserrate Sanctuary to share a Colombian dessert called esponjado de curuba.
It is hard to believe that Bogota is our final stop in South America! We have seen so many beautiful places in Colombia and the rest of South America and are sad to be saying goodbye to this wonderful continent that we have called home for the past 7 moths. min 7:30 those are not just "models", they´re actually part of the presidential guard (influenced by Prussians back in the 19th century, just look the helmet). In one side is -min --7:37- "Palacio de Nariño" (Nariño was one of the fathers of actual Colombia) and is the presidential office (like White House) min, also the thin white old building besides Palacio is the Observatory, the FIRST OF ITs KIND built in AMERICA (the whole continent). In min 7:49, behind Mico (left side) is the San Bartolome school, built by jesuits in 1604. In the other side of this square is the Congress building -min --7:54- in the right and an old colonial monastery in the left. This is not just another nice square: Plaza de Armas is historical land for every colombian!

I was hoping you say Japan. They just opened up the country, the currency conversion rate is great, Chinese are not traveling as of yet, and it is beautiful during autumn.

Ah yes, Japan would be so beautiful right now! It's a bit too pricey for our full-time traveler budget at the moment, but we would love to visit in the future. Mico went in 2017 to visit his brother who was living there but I (Nicole) have only ever been to Tokyo briefly. Mico absolutely lovely it there!
