I'm not sure if you tried them yet, but I prefer (and recommend) the Romanian fast-foods, which are Middle east/Arabic influenced. Some restaurants like Mesopotamia, Spartan, Dabo, and foods like kebab, donner, shaorma, etc. I'm not a fast-food type of guy, but when I get fast-food it's never MacDonalds, KFC, etc but these other types :)

Thank you! I was trying to research Romanian specific & was having trouble. The only one I’ve tried is Dabo, & it has become a new obsession when I eat fast food stuff 😂

It's crazy how each country you go to the McDonald's does something different. The Big Tasty is one on our own menus as well, I think it's the same as there in Romania, it's nice. As for jalopeno's they would burn the mouth of you, but it's good.

Great video. I really hope you try out KFC with garlic sos. I'm told there's no garlic sos for the USA KFC, so I'm curious what's your reaction to it. Also, profiterol is not a traditional Romanian desert. Profiterol comes from Gibraltar. Papanasi is a traditional Romanian desert.

Oh no 🙈 I got my desert mixed up 😭 & omg the garlic sauce at KFC- I have not tried! One of my friends in Romania loves it & I was so confused by it because the US doesn’t have it. I did also see it at the store here & I thought okay what is this thing? I must try itttt!!!

On funny note . In one video u mention "Dakota". At that moment I couldnt get what it ment....because when I hear 'Dakota" I associate with the American State and with the name of the actress from " 50 shades of Grey" for obvious reasons....hahaha. I had to see a comment of your husband on one of your videos. Than it clicked:)))

@@sierramarie US brands, not Romanian. Anyway, US fast food, and most very large fast food chains, use chemicals to trick your taste buds and stomach to believe it's tasty, that you are full and that it was an adequate/balanced diet. That's the "poison" part of fast food. It's fake food and it's not good for humans. In Romania, you would be better off looking at street food/fast food And then you have to start with mici but no idea where they are decent iin Cluj, maybe at Roata. Then you hava placinte, langos and similar variations. And covrigi ( told you to try Luca already) and shorma, Fornetti and a lot more. Largest Romanian fast food chain is likely Mesopotania, no clue how it is and second largest is similar to Luca , except it's named Gigi. But Romania has a very well appreciated cuisine so it's a huge waste to focus on street food and fast food only. Use Google Maps to find restaurants in Cluj and see how many stars they have. I can mention dishes but i'm not sure you would try any as i have mentioned quite a few in the past already. BTW in Romania you can rent a car with some 25 Euros per day, if either of you has an international driver's license. And Airbnb's are quite affordable and nice. Also trains are quite cheap and you can buy tickets online from the national railways (CFR).

@@sierramarie Fast food in Romania is showrma ,kebab -( which are oriental dishease but romanians adopted it). Original romanian fast food is barbeque- mici ( english spelling is ,,meech,,) plural of mic ( meek) plus french fries with mustard -regular one

If I may make a comment on your video, I say the following. For me, I rarely buy this kind of "food". Some times ago I worked in a MC in US(Buffalo, NY). Being employeed for them, during work hours I did get discount. I used to buy their products. I hâd some digestive issue in that period. I am pretty sure it was because of that food. Talking with some romanians which lived in US, said that this digestive issue are pretty commun in US and they get different medicine for it. Lets say that after this experience I avoid buying fast food. :)

Well, none of this is Romanian fast food! It's kind of pathetic to go to Romania to eat McDonald, although that cheese stick seems to be the reinterpretation of the Romanian "Cașcaval Pane" from Cheddar Pane.

I wouldn't say it's "pathetic" at all, that's quite mean. I went to Japan for the first time 3 weeks ago and I tried their McDonald's once out of curiosity, to see what items they have that we don't and how the taste is different.
