We assumed we'd have trouble and so started trying as soon as it wasn't a BAD idea. Got pregnant first try, first month. Second baby took more than two years. You just never know! Most important: have FUN!!

You can do it guys! My husband is C5C6. Two years ago, We had our first and successful IVF. We had surgeries, egg and Sperm extractions. My husband has been in a wheelchair for 35 years and never had a child, so this is our first child coming this April 2021. My husband is 57 and I'm 34, we have been married for 13 years and looking forward to more years (forever) with him. IVF Florida helped us in our journey. I know you guys can do it too! Before our plan B is to adopt a baby if our IVF didn't work out, but thank God for our first try at IVF FLORIDA was successful. A lot of people we know said we couldn't have a child because of my husband’s situation but we are extremely positive that we will have a child no matter what happens. We are going to have a child of our flesh, we're excited! And I know you guys will have a baby too. You will be great parents. Trust and pray to the Lord. Good luck guys!😘❤️

My brother is a paraplegic. He 'naturally' parented a set of twins (boy/girl) after his injury. Keep pushin'!😂 Plus....I'm a para (T6) with 2 sons (post injury) and my mate is now blind 😎 (about a year now) THEREFORE being positive is VERY essential. Biggest advice: Having a PCA (personal care assistant) will be really helpful to the both of you. Check with your state to see if they will pay for it. In my state, The Arc of Louisiana pays for PCA services.

Thing is, the love doesn't get diluted at all. It gets multiplied. I look at my girls and I love them both equally so much, and they are completely different from each other. However, your time does get divided and diverted. So if you have a very close bond with your first child, you can feel torn and sad that you can't pay all that exclusive attention to him/her the way you used to.

It makes so much sense for you guys to do this as young as possible. 1) your family is there to support you and young enough to physically help while the kid/kids are super young. Not that they can’t do it on their own, but having 4 active healthy grandparents to help is such a blessing. Especially to help with the physical aspects when Charisma goes through a lot. I was 19 with 2 children in an abusive relationship. The amount of stress I was under and in turn caused my children, was overwhelming, for lack of better words. It wasn't long before I was a single mom. My kids literally saved my life because they motivated me to leave that relationship, go to school, and work that much harder to get out of poverty. Needless to say, I have beautiful, healthy, intelligent teenagers and I am blessed. I'm still a single mom, but I love and provide as best as I can. Ideally, I would recommend waiting until you're in a healthy marriage and have a house, but that's not how the story worked for me. I can tell by the way you love each other, love sophie and the amount of support you have that you will be amazing parents!

Exactly! It’s been 27 years, but we were “planning” to the tee and nothing was happening. Several months later when my husband, at the time, lost his job, we just let it go and stopped obsessing about it, and guess what...voila. We were pregnant. So don’t get discouraged prematurely. Enjoy each other and your love. Of course if after some time nothing happens, there’s no problem seeking the help of medical professionals. All the best to them. 💞

all my childhood i've seen my brothers and sister have kids at an early age , which had forced them to grow up extremely fast . whether that meant moving out , getting a job , or just becoming an adult too soon . so one thing i can say first hand about early patenting is that its a huge struggle especially if you don't have all the resources you need to raise a kid . it takes a toll on you when you have to prepare for something that is unexpected and it might be difficult or trying at times , but at least you guys are prepared and are at a good place in your life where you can financially support your child and that most important . age doesn't matter when having a kid its about being able to be patience and take your time no matter the circumstances . you'd be great parents whether it was expected or unexpected or if you guys were in the worst or best situation you'll see a way because its all about loving easy and taking your time and that's something you guys already do . you guys show kindness in everything you put out and promote positivity in everything you do , which is a good trait to have now in this day and age . congrats guys ! everything you do is inspiring 💛 .

Speaking from experience......especially for the first baby, if you wait until you’re “ready”, you’ll never have kids!! You can only prepare so much; there are a lot of unknowns to wade (or roll!!) through. You have your own home, you’re doing ok money-wise, you have your families close; you’re good to go! And Charisma, you’re correct about your age. Fertility rates start to decrease the older you get, so you guys are correct to begin trying now. Just educate yourselves; you literally have access to all the information you could possibly need! My biggest piece of advice once you get pregnant; take a childbirth preparation class. I feel that is vital to prepare for birth. I’ll be praying for you guys!! Yay!!!

If Cole gets a harness to keep him sitting up in his chair, a baby sling or chest baby carrier could be used for bonding time. He could roll the floor with the baby. I am sure you can get creative with chair adaptations to allow Cole to do a lot of the transports and stuff like that.

Though many of us are in the Parent Club, there is nothing we can actually tell you that will be specific to your journey. Its all sage advice and good tips. Just know that everything you do is right for you guys and that is all that matters. Continue to lead with love for each other and your future growing family. Never be afraid to ask for help (and I know you do/will). I don’t know if they still sell them but me and my husband were told less then 40% chance. Had a specialist tell us to use ovulation predictor kits and when I was at the prime time also for me to take Robitussin DM to looses mucus in your body. After 2 months of that process I was pregnant. I have 2 beauties now 20 and 16. Good luck. And like the previous person said less stress is best.

I had my kids at 21, 26 & 29 and wanted the 1st two closer, but had to go through fertility for 3 years, now they are 26, 21 & 18...We just had our 1st granddaughter two weeks ago and I'm 47 and over the moon with the baby. ❣️❣️❣️ Good luck guys, can't wait to see when you are blessed, baby will be beautiful and loved.

Parenting is the hardest job you will ever love! You are never “ready” but it’s the best thing that will happen in your life. You will both be amazing parents whether you are ready or not! Praying it works out naturally but if you need to use other options we pray that works out.

I became injured when my son was just 16 months old and it’s hard at times especially with his mother not being in the picture anymore but I have to say that if it wasn’t for my son sticking to my side I would not be the same person I am today. The bond , connection and love is powerful! Much luck to you two. Y’all got this 🙏

Whereas, Charisma has basically always had a very straightforward medical approach to it. I just think it's humorous. I'm kinda with Cole on this one. Been following your channel on FB for a while now, Just wanted to pop on to say... Both my parents had disabilities, my Mom Spina Bifida and my Dad had Transverse Mylitis when he was 15. So many people told my parents they shouldn't have kids. I'm so glad they didn't listen! I was in the papers when I was born as I was a 'Miracle baby'... But I've had the best life, with parents that never failed to let me know how lucky they were to have me in their lives. I feel their love every day and they have taught me every day, how to accept people who are different and that those differences only make us stronger. So, yeah, in short... I think you'll be amazing parents and I think your kids will grow up to be amazing people!
