After u squish out the air bubbles put in the light for 10 seconds, take out and get a brush, turn hand over and brush out the excess gel down the length of the tip underneath. That will help with the build up of extender gel under the nail tip. Hope that helps! Good luck your doing great so far 👍🏼💅🏻😘

I tried it, and I wishI had tried it sooner. There is a small learning curve, but they were so easy that my right hand looked better than my left, despite not being a lefty. The upfront cost was more than going to a salon, but by the 4th time I use my supplies, I will have broken even and I definitely plan on doing them myself from now on! And it was nice to put whatever design I wanted on my nails without having to worry about any added charges. That will save me so much money going forward.

I have both Gel X and Kyra Sky soft gels nail and love them !! Definitely prefer the KS lap, so much easier to use . I found that by applying a thin layer of the gel on my nail curing and then applying a thin layer on the nail makes it less messy and you don't have a lot of gel pouring out from the tip of your natural nail. It also lasted about 3 weeks for me with proper nail prep !

I currently do hard gel over my natural nail to reinforce them and grow them long but I'm thinking of cutting them all off and switching to this method, which I've tried on a nail here and there before. sculpting a perfect shape with gel is too hard and by the time I'm done, I'm too annoyed to do nail art 😭 with the apres method it'd just be a perfect surface straight away. I'm worried about how hard it would be to remove the soft gel extensions tho. I know there's the peel off base coats but then im worried theyd pop off too easily with the peel off. Please updateeee

The best way to remove apres and other gel extensions is to file them super thin and then soak them off. The soak off process can take forever! All the gel x "influencers" claim they can remove them in 15 mins but i personally take longer, probably because im not a professional. I still endure the process because i prefer it so much more than acrylic.

I just pop them off while soaking them in warm water and if you don’t want them to stay on very long don’t do any prep to your nails and they will only last like a week or so before they really start to lift and then you can just pop them right off And if you are really worried just use a bunch of moisture on your hands leading up to the days you want to remove them because too much moisture will cause them to lift

im a gel x enthusiast & im here to give a tip! you shouldn’t put get polish on top of a smooth, shiny tip. the polish is super prone to peeling off because smooth (polish) doesn’t have anything to adhere to. so what you can do is use your dehydrator & scrub it into the surface of the nail to create a tacky layer. this helps for gel polish adherence. acetone does the same thing as well. i always buff the shine & then scrub dehydrator into the surface, but if for whatever reason someone doesn’t have a buffer, scrubbing the dehydrator or rubbing acetone into the nail surface will do you justice. loved the video & the nails are super cute!

I relate so much to the wounded pinky specially because the wound is near the cuticle.

Hey kayli just a little tip! To get rid of the stickiness you can use a piece of paper with rubbing alcohol and just rub it on top of the nail, they will won’t be sticky anymore, rub it until you don’t feel it sticky anymore!

actually theyre supposed to be sticky still bc it helps the gel adhere more to be more strong and long lasting

Do you know if these last longer than dip nails? I've been doing my own dip nails for some months after watching your vids, but its so time consuming! So this looks so good and easy, so im considering buying the products (if they last as long as dip nails)

Dip is just acrylic powder, but the method is time consuming. I prefer doing gel because it’s much quicker and if you make mistakes it’s easier to fix.
